Why war will never stop.

In before "war, war never changes" peoples. War won't ever stop because we'll always want what someone else has, whoever that someone else might be. Plus you guys treat your military like we in the UK treat our NHS, some sacred cow that we must show off about, and what's the point of a military if you don't use it?

I only do it because because this topic is pretty rediculous how many bloody times have we had this exact same discussion, same points, same philosophy and the op hardly had an innovative shocking angle on it.

That and War to the 21st century is what oil was to the 20th.

So you elected Obama for the money...? And Iraq and Afganistan are more like money pits than cash cows, even if oil was a misguided motive in Iraq...

Obama was elected BECAUSE of money. If they didn't want him to be president, he wouldn't be. Besides, it turns out he's too conservative for me.

Anyway, we're doing a horrible job in Afganistan. We shouldn't just kill all of them, we need to have more missionaries and diplomats. For every one we kill, ten of his family members will hate us.

I'd say making them love us will be better than making them hate us.

If we kill them, that just makes new terrorists, and they hate us more.

If we try to give them support and talk with them, we may be able to influence them.
