On a more serious note:
There are tons of fun to be had, there are lots of funny people around and even more humorous content to be had, whereas insults, swearing and profanity are less widespread.


The escapist could only be more awesome if it had tits. And was on fire.

The content and the people would sum it up. Everyones really nice and I haven't really seen any major trolls.

The content (mainly Yahtzee and Moviebob, but I there's some good articles here, remember when they published whole batches of articles weekly? Man, those were the days) and the excellent job the mods do of keeping the place clean.

It's generally just a cool place to chill, not what it used to be, but still good.

Aside from the fact that the site has brilliant content-providers and great editorial staff the main reason I love this site is because it's one of the few sites on which I can read almost any thread and not feeling the need to respond, because everything I wanted to say was pretty much already established.

I really, really like the escapist community, making the site pretty much one of the only sites for me where reading the forums is an interesting experience, rather than just a waste of time, and a site I can self-identify with.

It's too loud and there's too many kids on my damn lawn. Plus no one apart from me and Marter like The Scorpion King 3, so how can I like a site that doesn't like SK3?

That said, the content is good and there are a few users I like, so it's not all bad.

I'm rather stuck to this site. It's a habit for me to come here a few times a day and check up on the people I like.
There are still enough of them around to make that worthwhile, and I enjoy a good bit of the content.

I love The Escapist because it has a great community, excellent moderators and staff, good news articles, excellent contributors like Yahtzee and LRR.

I love that it has User Groups. The User Groups are great.

Well though I came here for the content and it's still pretty great, well this is pretty much the only Internet community I ever managed to get into, don't know what is it about it, but I just stayed here, now I can't really leave, I've been a part of this site for longer than I've lived anywhere else, really this is the place that's closer to my "home town" than anywhere else, even in reality, so I guess this place is kinda like my home now...

I also love the personality behind the content contributors; Jim and Yahtzee were fantastic together at the Expo this year, the LRR crew are the same in reality as they are on the internet, and Gavin doesn't shy away from ANYTHING.
