I'm happy with my Vista.

From what I've seen of it (not a lot), I don't really see much difference.
So am I. The only problem is that its needs memory space like a pig.

11 GB for WoW? WTF?
Indeed - I'll upgrade at some point, but I don't want to pay the 'its new, buy it now' tax that seems to affect every piece of technology thats released.

I'm running both Xp and Win7. I still use Xp 90% of the time but that's just because that's what I'm used to. There are some obvious performance upgrades over Vista and i can honestly say it runs better overall. just give it half a year and it may rival XP head on.

Vista was the reason I switched my laptop over to a Linux distro, I don't have any intention of trying out Windows 7. I'm content with having a Mac for my desktop and a Linux distro as my laptop.

To me, XP was the last (and only) working windows OS (3.1 excluded =P)

I think they are neither a flop nor a revolution. In Steve Ballmer's words: "It's a refined version of Windows Vista". Personally, I think I won't upgrade for at least 2 years. I will be watching the Windows 7 progress and see whether it will replace Windows XP or not. I'm wagering a (potentially wrong) guess that it won't. Yes, I'm a pessimist who hates Microsoft. Whatever.

My friends got it on his PC its basically an update of XP. I like XP lots so I'll get it whenever. Didn't like vista so much. I had it on my pc but re-installed my pc with XP service pack 3 again.

It's supposed to be Vista without the memory hogging and buggyness and such
So... no difference to me then?
I haven't experienced those things.

I used the RC of 7 for ages, and I loved it.

I tried the final release in a store today and it has many improvements on the RC.

Basically, 7 is a big steaming pile of win.

Plus, I like vista. But 7 = AWESOMEEEE!!!!

(Anti-Flame shields raising)

7 is a revolution, but it's not the revolutionary. It follows more from what Apple did with Snow Leopard, ie making features ride coach while the improvements rest with general enhancements.

I like it a lot. Much better than Vista or XP.

Also, space on HDD doesn't bother me neither. Two HDDs, one disk 16 GB for Windows XP (for emergency situations), 216 GB for Windows 7 and another HDD is 465 GB for games, movies and images.
Hard disk space shouldn't bother anyone these days considering how dirt cheap it is.

OT: W7 has got a little bit of a learning curve when it comes to navigating the menus, but I find that once you're proficient, doing stuff is faster than on XP

where did you get it for 30?
Got a student discount. If you have a valid college email address they will send you a link to buy it and DL it for 30 bucks. Yay being a student!

It looks good but I really don't see the point of upgrading my current rig. While it can run Vista and W7 it will pretty much be obsolete, spec wise, in a couple years so I'll just hold out with XP and grab W7 when I buy my next computer.
