Peter shut up, as more important things were obviously happening. He wondered over to the monk to resume their earlier conversation.

"So you were telling me about this 'Book', right?" He asked Sacri.

"The Book is a metaphysical concept of all the knowledge in the universe. The Monks of the Book have one life goal, to know everything they can, write it down, and protect it in their monasteries. We strive to do so our entire lives." Sacri leaned against the bar as he recounted it

"I've been traveling for about eleven years, and given five complements of journals into various monasteries."

"I see. It seems rather futile to try to record all knowledge in the universe. After all, things keep happening, and no-one can see everything at all times. Well," Peter chuckled, "except God, needless to say."

"We don't strive to see everything at all times, we just strive to learn-" Sacri turned to Blandae "Only bisexual? Didn't we establish you as Lesbian?" Sacri looked rather confused as he turned back to Peter "We believe that with knowledge, humanity can become something on the universal scale, so long as that knowledge is properly handled, we believe humans will be able to learn infinitely. To know more is my life goal, and that of my Fellows spread wide about the world."

Peter made a general noise of consent. Then he reminded Sacri that Mary was the lesbian, but Fran had said that Fran was the bisexual. Then Peter excused himself. He needed to go pray about that.

Sacri gave Fran a hard look, and moved over to her, turning his back to Sunny so there was no way she could pick up what he said "You sure about this? You're going to risk her trust and your happiness? I'll play along, but I've seen this play out. I wrote a whole chapter on the psychology of it, and trust me, this is a high-stakes bet. If you're going to lie to your sister, you -must- be sure." Sacri crossed his arms and leaned on his left side, his look still very drilling, he'd spot any single doubt she had from the depths of her soul

Sacri facepalmed "You didn't tell her about Ark... nevermind." Sacri walked off, shrugging.

I'd just like to remind everyone that speech tags are really important for clarity. I say this because I sometimes have no idea what's going on. Thank you for your time.

Peter was in a corner, praying. Or, at least, that was how he started out. It was quite possible he had fallen asleep.

Ark put her hand on Frans shoulder again. "I'll let you move this along at your pace." she stood back and said a bit louder "Who's up for another round of drinks? JELLO SHOTS!"

Sacri closes the door "I'll just sit in a booth and make sure none of you do anything you'll regret." Sacri's tone suggested he was actually just going to enjoy watching them make fools of themselves.

Peter stood up and walked over to Sacri, disregarding the people making poor choices. "I had a puzzling session of prayer," Peter said, "and I'm hoping you could help me figure it out, what with your vast amounts of knowledge."

For plot purposes, I'd like an hour or more to have just gone by. Will anyone who disagrees please raise their hand? [small] On another note, the characters all need to sleep. They could pass-out, if need be.[/small]
