Yes. As she is physically attractive then showing off her body is all that she is good for, God forbid that she'd want to get a real career.
For starters, why is modelling not a 'real career'? From what I hear it has a somewhat difficult selection process, requires a certain amount of talent (and confidence) and can lead to other things.

Secondly, (in the case of what you quoted off me) I probably should have mentioned that I was saying it with a hint of humour to it (this is hard to convey in the written word so I understand you thinking that I was being straight faced and serious).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but stating how apparantly 'all she's good for' is showing off her body sounded a tad on the feminist side to me, I can assure you that there was no patriarchal bias to what I was saying (and there was probably none to what anyone else was either).

Considering how 9/10 posts are comments on how hot she is as opposed to how unfair it is that she'd be fired for her appearance, I think you can probably see why I'd assume it came across as sexist.

As for modelling as a career it'd be quite lengthy to explain why I dislike it, the short version is that it's pointless and in the case of "fashion" designers, pretentious (in my opinion). If you were referring to glamour modelling then you are in many ways proving my point. ;)

Surely they could've said this in 1 page. And whew, she's decent, but not distracting. If you are trying to get your work done, not even elephants busy humping will stop you from working. This is a case of bold accusations on both sides and over-all stupidity proving the gradual degradation of the human race's intellectual ability.

Doesn't look hot to me. Sorry but she's likely got fired because she was bad at her job, racist, or something like that, she looks like an elitist prick.

Its not nice to get fired when you are perfectly capable of the job you've been hired for in the first place. If the men couldnt control themselves then shouldnt they be the ones in the firing line? I myself was discriminated against due to my religion in a job and was forced to quit due to mistreatment - I'm not rich enough to fund a lawsuit otherwise I would have!

Well first off, WOW, she is hotttttttttttttttttttttttttt.

Now, with that out of the way, it's hard to assess this situation, since the article gives little insight into how she was performing at the job from which she was fired. However, she has received praise in her previous positions, and thus, from that, I can hesitantly conclude that she is not grossly incompetent. No matter how attractive you are, you still have to have some level of competence in order to receive those honours.

That being said, I feel that the men at her previous job are retarded, and they need to get over this "she is distracting to the other employees" bullshit. These are grown men, and they should be mature enough to be able to handle themselves around other women, regardless of how attractive they are. Of course, we probably aren't getting the full story, but it's definitely an interesting situation - you almost never hear of somebody's good looks having a negative influence on their lives.

Wow, am I the only one here who finds her unattractive?
Anyway, I can't make anything of this article. It fails to present the entire story, and it forces an opinion on us. (Not that I'd expect any better...)

At first I thought she was just being arrogant, but after reading it, I understand. Looking at her pictures, some were quite inappropriate but most of them looked fine.
She can't help being so attractive, her employers employ attractive girls, then sacked her for being pretty? May have read that wrong...

She should wear makeup because she looked sickly without it. (She had purposefully stopped wearing makeup in hopes of attracting less attention.) Once, she recalls, she came in to work without having blow-dried her hair straight?it is naturally curly?and Fisher told a female colleague to pass on a message that she shouldn't come into work without straightening it.
[sub]I think that just convinced me to become and active feminist. [/sub]

Meh.

There are at least a dozen women where I work that look similar and several that are, IMO, better looking than her.

I really have a hard time believing that she would be fired for being too attractive by a MAN. Now if her boss was a woman, I could see that being a reason. Biologically this makes no sense what so ever.

Those pictures aren't very flattering. Someone find that video of her. It's much more attractive.

Things like this make me glad that my appearance is average at best. That said, it's unfortunate what happened to her, but she needs to get off her high horse about her looks. People generally don't feel sorry for vapid assholes who assume they're better than everyone else just because they look better. And she wouldn't be in such a financial crisis if she saved her money instead of wasting it all on 5 closets of designer clothes.

I thought she looked a bit plastic. I don't understand the modern perception of beauty.

That Lawyer made me laugh. I imagined him walking into the courtroom dressed as Robert Plant, standing on tables while he questioned the wittnesses.

I hope she wins, and the the barefoot marathon part made me ORLY?

Judging by what's said, she deserves to win. But there's probably a lot more to it than that.

Read this in a newspaper... i don't really want to form an opinion of it. She probably refused to sleep with the boss or was doing so for some time but then he refused further promotions.

Something like this happens on a daily bases around the world and it seems as though this woman can't get over herself.

what to say?

"I'm sorry you aren't handed everything you ever want always? OH WAIT. you already get it."
she needs to NOT complain about getting fired; and go to another bank if thats what she wants.

lol I've worked in an investment bank before (barclays) and the women there are much more hotter than this. Then again, it's a british bank so mayb the sun rises in the west there as compared to the states lol.

but seriously, i've always tot that banks especially private bankers prefer to employ hotter women becuz of the face time they need with clients. not trying to be sexist here but well, it makes sense actually.
