Every time someone uses the word "darkness" in a Kingdom Hearts game, I die a little inside. So I'm not sure why I keep playing them.
NOOOO! why did you say that. Even reading that makes me curl inside. Honestly, games or films or even books that do this keep me awake at night wanting to know what happens even if i have already seen/read/played the sequals.Sentient6 said:"To Be Continued..."
ARRRGH!!!
I have never played Dragon Age, but I was told that it was so "by the book" that I thought it would have that type of dialogue in it.Gildan Bladeborn said:I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that you've never played Dragon Age, or you'd know they don't use any old English words or phrases in that.GamingAwesome1 said:"Thou" "For Sooth" and any of that generic old English shit, I can't stand it!
This is what put me off Fable 2, Dragon Age and various other fantasy games, they just can never make it sound right, so it comes off as being very annoying and smug!
I agree with the that about kingdom hearts. I like the game right up until the point where its like "Oh no my heart isen't strong enough to fight all this darkness!"lambi89 said:For me, it's the words 'heart' and 'darkness' in Kingdom Hearts. Ugh, even saying the title makes me just...
Also, the name Yevon in Final Fantasy X. It's almost the same as with the name God in real life for me. For those of you who don't know, Yevon is, I think, supposed to be a god in Final Fantasy X.
How about you, which words in which games make you go "Ugh" or cringe (correct me if cringe is spelled wrong)?
Edit: Yes, phrases do count too.
"Reload Dr Freeman!" No, really? I'm holding the bloody piece, I'll decide when I load it!Maxwell -EOD- said:When the enemy yells something to the effect of, "I'm Out of Ammo!". Oh, okay, thanks for the update, I'll be coming over to kill you now.
Why is that even in there? I haven't seen a single game in which you were actually required to press start (i.e., A or X would do it...) to start the game.MMMowman said:"Press start to play"
Because this way he has 2 lives.LOLCMONBRUH said:*after generic villain takes a beating* *racked coughing* "Heh, you think (this is the end/ you can beat me/ you've won)?!" *reveal true form*. Seriously, why didn't you just start off in your true form? dick.

"Hey, Listen!" ... 'nuff said
"Keep still, I gotta heal you!" No, you don't. We're 4 yards from the safehouse, I'll heal up when we don't have to worry about a FREAKIN HOARD!

Everything about Kingdom hearts is disgustingly cringe worthy, those games make me want to stab my own eyes out with a pencil.lambi89 said:For me, it's the words 'heart' and 'darkness' in Kingdom Hearts. Ugh, even saying the title makes me just...
The dwarves however all had American accents, which really pissed me off. THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE SCOTTISH DAMNIT, for a game that adheres so strongly to fantasy norm why the bloody hell did they pull that one off.Gildan Bladeborn said:I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that you've never played Dragon Age, or you'd know they don't use any old English words or phrases in that.
