Fun fact the papers are making a massive fact out of.

No team has won the World Cup after losing their first game.
Not sure if that's going to be the case for Spain but it also seems likely they'll follow suit. And another fun fact, every team I've thought that will do well (England, Spain, Italy and Brazil are the main ones here) have either been unconvincing or poor. England stumbled against the USA, I've heard Italy struggled, Spain were woeful in front of goal yesterday and Brazil couldn't really break down an incredibly stubborn North Korea side. I get the feeling this World Cup could throw up a few surprises. [sup]NORTH KOREA WINS THE WORLD CUP! XD[/sup]

They were excellent in fairness to them. The Germans were very impressive, and Holland will be one to watch (they're my personal faves actually)

Whatever happens... I'm sure it will be accompanied by

As nice as this whole event is, the highlight was America winning 1-1 against Britain. Nothing else outshines that.

Without Zidane it's unlikely. French media are licking their chops over how to best slaughter the french coach when he loses (and they had a field day that match against ireland...).
But I do hope your fury over the french team dims over time, they weren't exactly proud of how they won unlike some more famous cheats:

More or less same situation as Diego Maradonna with hand of god goal, didn't stop most of the world from worshipping him and him being openly proud of it. At least you can be sure Henry doesn't get that sort of veneration nor the same satisfaction.

And for the record I'm supporting England/France/Mexico in this world cup, they are my nationalities xP

Most of the hate is towards Henri himself... he should have been honest and said 'ref, i handled it'. But yeah, we'll forget about it in a few years. They're not the team they used to be anyway.

The one player who I absolutely cannot stand in that regard is Ronaldo. It's torture to watch him flinging himself onto the ground reflexively any time anyone gets within a meter of him... he really is a cheating little shit and I can't believe the officials continue to fall for his acting.

Were you disappointed in Rooney in the US/England game? I'm sure everyone's mad at Green, but Rooney didn't really show up in the game till the last 20 minutes or so.

Rooney was ok, not brilliant but he was satifactory.

As for green i was ready to buy a ticket to south africa run on the pitch and kick him in where he stood! lol

If USA come second in the group stages though they have to face Germany i think, and i don't think USA stand much of a chance against them, same for england if we play them.

Portugese, English, and Greek flags are the ones I've seen most in the GTA. Helluva lot of S. African flags around, too.
