This is a really good game... despite the ref, there's been some great play from both teams, all attack attack attack... joy to watch.

I still think the Germans will pull one back...

Yes, the referee made some stupid decisions, but, the Germans did have a penalty.

Wow, I can't believe it! Serbia beat Germany.

It's always nice to see the underdogs win... Germany will have no trouble against Ghana though.

Awesome? What game were you watching? Both teams were playing decent at best. Serbia had a number of chances that you could count with one hand, but their build up play was horrendous and they never looked to have the advantage despite the early 10 v 11. Late in the game Germany was open wide because they played so offensively and even then Serbia had problems to attack, they even outnumber the defenders a good few times.

Germany was playing pressure Football and they were still far superior to Serbia in terms of possesion and quality of passing, but they weren't playing too well overall. Stupid penalty miss, they created more chances than S but their finishing and last passes were piss poor. Poor match overall.

Only thing remarkable was the absolutely horrendous ref from start to finish.

You're right. Compared to the rest of the World Cup this match was gold, but that's not saying a lot.

The game had it's moments, but I still don't think either team was playing particularly well.

Not sure a team has to play golden for it to be an entertaining match. Championship games in England are often just as exciting as Premiership ones, and the football then is almost always horrendous - you don't have to have a team of Messi's for it to be an exciting game.

Incidentailly all the matches since Spain lost have been vastly better to the ones before (except France Mexico - watching a France game is apparenlty like watching paint dry).

Serbia was good, our team was better (but only veeeeeery slightly)... but god damn, we blew it because we kept screwing up on every golden chance that came our way. Serbia had less chances but at least they used one of theirs to get the advantage.
Since the minute Klose got that yellow-red the whole game went down the crapper for us. What a mood killer.
Oh, and that ref made me rage like you wouldn't believe. What the hell, man?!?!

I mean, I like the USA soccer team... a lot. But I also really like Slovenia after they've beat us in the qualification finals and I've always liked England. Tough.
Still, awesome game for Slovenia, if they take this, they advance automatically. And I really hope they do.

Wow, that was complete bullshit. The US had victory snatched away by an absolutely abysmal performance from the referee. It might be a good wake-up call for them though. Why can't America ever show up on time? They're not a bad team, they just always have to fight uphill.

WTF was the call against the USA?! We would have fucking won if it wasn't for that bullshit. If anything the call should have been against Slovenia! Their players were like hugging and pulling our players down.

The USA kicked ass in the second half of the game, but our game was snatched away by bad judgement calls. I'm not normally a person who blames refs, but the calls this game were pretty stupid.
