I love the World Cup, but hate how nothing is ever good enough for the English media.
We drew to a hard fighting US team (who are certainly no mugs!) because of a mistake, a mistake I hasten to add I have seen 3 other keepers make.

Every world cup, people whine about the ball, well it certainly did not make a difference to Germany today who played all season with it yet still lost.

Its a good tournament so far, and any team can win it, I have not seen anything that outstanding yet.

Argentina - with that team they can win without Maradona, who is tactically inept, and that will show when it really matters, so getting excited about them already is premature.

Spain - *cough* Switzerland

France - Fuck off back to Paris you cheating garlic munching surrender monkeys!

Germany - Just proved anyone can beat an aging Australia team, against a team slightly better than a pub team, they struggled.

Brazil - Good on paper, but again less than impressive


South Africa should never ever be allowed to host a World Cup again, why? Vuvuzelas
Fucking tuneless, atmosphere killing, annoying noise.
I am glad I am not there because it would have taken me about 10 mins before I decided to test on some poor fucker if they could be played analy.

Thanks to the bad call, the US is now at the mercy of how the other teams play. It's no longer about American heart, spirit and sheer determination, it's about the luck of the draw for us.

Despite Podolski not being able to hit the side of a barn with a shotgun I'll let you keep him in case of an England Vs Germany shootout.

I cannot fathom for the life of me why Löw kept him on the pitch and took off Oezil and Meuller who were both outstanding and looked more likely to create something.

Oezil did a good job, Mueller was alright, and both were substantially better than Podolski. How he missed that shot is beyond me, especially he went for he goalie's left, just like all of his other shots...

And the ref was a dick, a fair dick perhaps, but still a dick...

RIght now I'm watching England/Algeria and England is putting in a pretty woeful fucking performance. I'm sitting here in an England jersey with nothing to shout: "HERE WE GO!" or "ENGERLAND" about. What is a guy to do?

I'm very pumped for soccer on the highest stage there is. Rooting for Team USA and Italy, but I have Argentina winning the entire Cup. Low expectations for Team USA and Italy isn't looking like a repeat, but so far the matches have been spectacular.
