Forgot to mention Israel and South America, Possibly Israel halts the Iranian and Russian advance, while the Arab states are caught in the middle? They either have to chose a side, unite, or risk being annihilated.

Venezuela and Brazil combine and form an alliance??? Possibly the beginnings of the United states of South America? and march across the rest of south America to forge a massive state to prepare an invasion into north America from the south? So north America is fighting 2 fronts.

One thing, how does the fact that while China has a bigger army it is not as technologically powerful of the US factor into this?

I would have to agree, While I can see china has an extremely strong army I still don't think that in terms of conventional warfare it would be more than a stale mate. plus america has a rediculous amount of national guardsmen and reserves sitting at home, the response to an invasion would be immidiate and heavy.

not to mention what stabnex said. There are simply too many Americans that would grab a gun and go be guerillas, along with regular army there would be simply too strong of a civilian response to an invasion, there would be no safe place for an invadinga rmy to rest as someone would attack them. Morale would be very low for any nation trying to invade the US. I know I personally would fight.

There is actually a game called world in conflict that depicts an ivasion of the US by Russia and if you get the expansion you can play as russia for some mission. It's very interesting, but one of the lines by one of the characters is very relevant. "Everywhere we go we are greeted with guns and bombs." granted they thought they would be liberators but it's the same premise. A sniper here a fire bomb there. Imagine whats happening in the Middle East except with that majority of citizens participating instead of a minority.

Also, Because of the way the NATO alliance works, an attack on any NATO is considered an attack on all NATO countries, so the RN would just have to go and fuck up China with the US Navy. We simply move a few nuclear attack subs into position to keep Russia quiet and then go to town on China.

I actually thought about the subject of Israel. But to be completely honest I don't see them backing us much longer. From what I can understand out of this propaganda war Obama has damaged our relations with Israel rather badly.

The idea of a South America uniting is an interesting idea. I can potentially see it happening but not in the near future. Either way the US would have its hand in their affairs before they even knew they were thinking about uniting.

How did the Chinese military get to Canada? The last numbers I heard were that the majority of the Chinese army isn't even mechanized and still has to get to where it's going by foot. China also doesn't have foreign military bases so the odds of China's army reaching North America is slim to none.

The US on the other hand has a bunch of foreign military bases that surround China and if they noticed a bunch of Chinese headed their way would probably pound the crap out of their country before they ever got here.

Hmmm... there's 2 things that I can see that might put a dent into that theory.

1) China has no major navy to speak of AFAIK (least of all compared to the US)

2) Russia is not currently in a position to field a large conventional army (this could change, but it would have to start pretty soon to fit the time-line).

Also, does anybody have any idea on what technologies the Chinese employ in their military? I for one sure as hell don't, and I doubt anyone without some sort of high level clearance does. Just looking at the few Norinco productions that I know about I don't think people have a completely accurate idea of what China actually has.

What might have been true at the end of the cold war can no longer be considered true anymore without proof that it actually is. This is especially true in terms of a countries level of technology as that level is in no way static.
