FMA is Godly...no wasted episodes...which is impressive considering there are 52...
No wasted episodes? Seriously? The first series has a beach ep, a shopping ep, a christmas ep, a hotsprings ep. They're all filler, story goes nowhere, characters don't change, status quo is retained. It's been a while since I saw it and I only saw the first season but I particularly remember being annoyed at its slow pace.

I definately agree this series gets too much flak. What it is is mediocre, probably a bit better. Frankly its the people telling others that the series is 'godly' that makes others mark it down. Same goes for Evangelion. I think it also gets a lot of criticism for what the series represents; Gonzo's breakthrough. Its the series that opened the floodgates to the mountain of dung that studio has produced.
Wait a sec... hotsprings episode? Beach episode? Story that goes no where? Gonzo?

This may be a stretch, but I think you may be confusing FMA (Full Metal Alchemist) with FMP (Full Metal Panic). And you are also confusing the first season, with Fumoffu (a spin off season not made by Gonzo).
That would certainly make sense. Hell even I sometimes screw up the names, and I've seen both series'

the one with the angel that kept killing and reviving that boy because he was going to someday invent a loli ray that would make all women in the world permanent tweens? I felt myself becoming more retarded as it progressed.

I was particularly masochistic for watching the whole thing too.

That would be 'Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-Chan'...which roughly translates to 'Club You To Death Angel, Dokuro-Chan'. I didn't think it was that bad. It was stupid and it knew it, so you just see it roll with the punches. Plus, each episode is only 15-minutes long...and there aren't that many of them...so the jokes don't have enough time to get stale.

Sadly I'll have to go whit every single anime. It's just so...bad. I used to like it and watch it a lot has a kid, but I just...grew out of it. Right now I hate the thing, but of course other people have different opinions, and I respect those.

I find myself watching both bleach and naruto rather in spite of myself, I mean I know bleach had the first 10 or so episodes actually being genuinally funny, but why am I still watching like a hundred episodes after the funny stopped and the generic shounen started...

Yeah, I found Bleach pretty entertaining until it came to the arcs it's on now, the Bounts or something. I mean there are sometimes just some characters that are so bad (evil bad not the other kind) that you just want them gone. Some, no rather nearly all of them are pretty iritating in the way that even if you seriously injure them, they bounce back.
That's a filler arc, and filler arcs should be killed with fire, although that was one of the better ones.

Wait are you watching Bleach in english or Japanese with subs? Would just like to know.

Bleach...
A teenager beating up people who has been practising martial arts and supernatural elemtents for thousands of year? C'mon!
It's an anime. It doesn't have to make sense.

My are so many people picking Naruto because it is "overatted"? I'm not defending it, I downright hate the thing, but it seems people are just copying everyone else.

I've been watching it in English, for some shows I'll watch it with only english subs because I'll really interested in it, otherwise I'll wait for english dubs.

I watch the Japanese ones on youtube (I'm sure the translations are a little dodgy) while waiting for the English ones to be released every 2 friggin months. I have to say, Japanese ones are much better.

You know they released a new Hellsing OVA series that's a lot more like the manga, right?

I enjoy Naruto and Bleach. If you're going to hate those two shows, then you may as well despise DragonBallZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, Fist of The North Star, Rurouni Kenshin, and numerous other Shonen action series over 90 episodes long.

That genre of anime/manga is extremely formulaic and well-established; I really don't see a significant difference between any two series in this pool as far as quality or character development go.

Anyway, what's the worst anime I've ever had the displeasure of watching? That's easy:

Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer.

Hey, say what you want about Dragonball Z and Fist of the North Star (I've never seen it), but Yu Yu Hakusho was awesome with zero fillers and Rurouni Kenshin was an amazing anime with extremely like able characters, and only of instance of dues ex machina.

They may be shonen animes, but they're on a totally different levels.

I hardly see how DBZ can equate to Rurouni Kenshin, but I liked that, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Fist of the North Star. Just because they're all shounen doesn't mean they're all exactly the same

I'd have to say Burst Angel. I really can't think of anything good to say about it, which kind of says it all. Music, characters, animation all ranged from below average to flat out bad. At least Naruto has decent music.

In before Bleach and Naruto .

If anyone mentions Hellsing or Elfen Lied, I'm gonna crack some heads.
And the worst anime I've seen, was easily Lucky Star.
Easily. And I watched a lot of shit in my time.

Granted that most anime's nowadays are pure crap, but Lucky Star was a special kind of retarded show-thing.

Also, honourable mention to FullMetalAlchemist. Overrated and uninteresting.
So in the same reply that you claim FMA to be uninteresting and overrated you praise and defend Elfen Lied? I watched it, and I was never as amazed as "I should have been". It's just a 50% gorefest, 50% ecchi anime without an interesting plot and filled with uninteresting, half naked characters ripping bodyparts from eachother. Hellsing is a little bit different, but it's still the same shit, and I wouldn't praise it either. At least FMA is about something other than ripping limbs and killing people (or zombies/ghouls/vampires/whatever) to their left and right.

But this thread isn't about defending good animes, it's about ranting bad animes, and I'd have to say that... well, Elfen Lied IS a bad anime. But the most overrated anime I can think of has got to be Bleach or One effin Piece. Especially One Piece which never really sucks me in, there's no interesting plot twists until 360 episodes further into the anime, it has a near invincible main character, silly and bad REPEATED jokes, boring storyline, it's just plain BAH!

Also, Basilisk was kinda interesting at first, but it soon became "just another weird ninja anime", which is a shame because it started of good with a to the eye interesting story about an impossible love, hatred between clans, etc.
