Most recently Kurogane no Rainbareru a.k.a Linebarrels of Iron but then again dub even the greatest anime and it turns into a pile of poo!

All anime sucks pretty equally.
But seriously, it's really hard for me to get into anime. It seems like the Japanese tackle story and originality in a really bizarre way (and people tend to mistake strangeness for quality).

Anyway, I've always hated Dragonball and DBZ, even while I was still a kid.

I don't see why everyone's saying Naruto and Bleach.

Naruto had its moments in the first half (Zabuza's death, for one. One of the most well-done deaths in an anime if you ask me)

Bleach has a perfectly competent story and interesting characters. It's getting a little nonsensical these days, but the Soul Society arc was definitely interesting.

As for the worst: I'd have to vouch for Lucky Star. Watched like 7 episodes without so much as a smirk and gave up. Also Inuyasha.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Why did every anime magazine have to cover this show like it was the second coming of Christ?
Because it was entertaining and had one of the best subtle romances in today's media?

It seems like the Japanese tackle story and originality in a really bizarre way
It's a different culture.

Theres too many to name...but theres also alot of good ones to match so. *shrug*

I'm going to put off actually answering this topic specifically and go for the middle man position.

I would defend Naruto by pointing out that the storylines that follow the manga are excellent, but the, what? Year and a half filler arcs pretty much turned the series into a freak/monster of the week show, with the title being ninja this time. Of course I'm forgiving, and some aren't.

I should also point out that the non-movie Space Runaway Ideon has some horrible pacing issues, much like its spiritual predecessor Mobile Suit Gundam, but I feel the themes forgive this. However I do think the compilation movies work better.

Ergo proxy I got bored of 1.5 eps in if that counts. Kuro Shitsuji I couldn't bare to watch past ep 3... Intending to watch Boku no Pico just so I can say it's the worst anime I've watched.

I didn't really like GUNDAM Wing... but that was when I was about 8. At the time, Anime was my soul. Kid Anime.
In general, I'd have to say Tenchi Muyo. What... the...Hell? Too much randomosity + Cabbit + Bizzare Editing = No.

Wow if people are saying Naruto and Bleach they really haven't seen enough anime, and chances are they are just going on the old 'hating ___ is cool' bandwagon.

If you can honestly tell me that Naruto is worse than GetBackers (I mean seriously, it started out interesting then the ending just made half the story up to that point redundant, if anyone want's to know just ask), Gantz, Beyblade (the spinoffs mainly, I will admit I watched the original as a youngster, and loved it) Tenjho Tenge, Tenchi Muyo, and a whole heap of others you must be smoking crack.

And I say that because while you may not like the story of Naruto, Bleach or One Piece, at least it was better and properly executed. Those anime were poorly executed and terribly done. If you think any of the above are the worst anime then you've probably seen about 4 series total.

Also has anyone read the Pokemon manga? Because I have a question.

What about me? I brought up Gantz, one the most matu- Okay, I can't finish that sentence.

What I meant to say was, it's one of the lease kiddy animes I've ever seen.

I saw dotHack//sign and it made my head explode because of the crazy storyline. It was even more confusing because I had played the dotHack Games on PS2, and I saw characters that resembled the ones from the game and they were not. And I found out that Hasuo or whatever his name is was also the crazy PKer from the game and Anime.Confusing as fuck.It wasn't a bad Anime, but not good either, not enough action. I've never liked plot-intensive Anime.
The worst I've ever seen was some Volleyball Anime I saw as a little kid. It was basically about girls playing Volleyball. And stuff. Also, the original Naruto was kind of crappy.
Shippuuden on the other hand is( was) awesome until I lost track of the plot.

Higurachi. Or however that crappy cicada show is spelled. How am I supposed to care about the characters if most episodes are disconnected from most of the others? And who the hell gets their kicks from a bunch of cursed children slitting themselves up repeatedly?
*raises hand*

Bleach...
A teenager beating up people who has been practising martial arts and supernatural elemtents for thousands of year? C'mon!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf3Ji-9tiJo just watch from 0:20 to 0:33.

Also it seems like the magical elements are pretty weak to begin with in that show. Or atleast weak enough to not bother adding into the "HOW THE FUCK CAN HE BEAT THEM!!" comment.

Note: I'm only reffering to what I saw, the first 42 episodes..

naruto, it's a stain on anime
meh, not really. It's bad but not bad enough to be noted. It's fandom is a stain on anime.

Also.......I tend to avoid particularly bad anime and my friends aren't idiots so........I have no idea....

Oh wait, dubs. Pokemon. dubbed yu-gi-oh, Digimon, and DBZ can't compare to the retardation that is Pokemon..
