Oh yeah, the Brumak (spelling?) in Gears 2 sucked. Hold down button, win the game.

Why do final bosses almost always suck?
Because, sadly, people have stopped trying

I do believe the "boss" for Fable 2 is a noted example of suckatude.

You walk up to a guy with a mcguffin and either blast him in the chest with a pistol or wait for Stephen Fry to do it.
This i mean it was so anticlimactic iwas expecting a huge showdopwn with this guy and all the ridiculous powers he would have gained from the spire but no he goes down quicker than a peasant.

Still a good game though.

Yunalesca in FFX. It's not that she's hard, it's that she can wipe you out if you're unprepared. That means having to waste 10+ minutes rewatching that Auron Call to Battle Speech. Was cool once, not so much the third time around. This would have been bearable, but FFX was released before the "Skip" button was in vogue in RPG's.

The search bar sucks to fight. Everybody looses it seems....
there's just always one isn't there...
You do realize threads die, and occasionally new stuff comes out of these repeated discussions.

the boss in FF:X any boss you can kill in one hit hits a 17 imaginarynumberillion on the suckage scale
No, just no. The FFX bosses are fine, if you DON'T GO GET ULTIMATES. If you do, you're expected to stop on the end bosses and fight the real bosses, the arena. Which are BALLS hard.

The lack of a boss fight can just as bad, especially if it's so goddam anti climactic...

The game I'm thinking of is Might&Magic 8, where you meet the world-eater-guy-thing (can't remember his name), and you just talk to him! All this, after entering a plane between planes, fighting the toughest monsters in the game, and navigating a maze filled with even more monsters, traps and locked doors. And I thought M&M 7 was bad at endings...

One of the first boss fights on FF8. The Galbadian(?) spider robot thing after biggs and wedge. Run through the opening section too quick and he will kick your ass all day long :p

Stupid robot...

In terms of greatest boss fight, gotta be the End, MGS3. 3 Hours of pure, pants-soaking tension.

Er... you run from that. You're not supposed to fight it. At all. Ever.

A good number of the floor guardians from Persona 3, some lacked a weakness making them hard to knock down and when you had groups of three they all had attacks that hit the entire party for a load of damage.

Also the final boss of Star Ocean 4, he had a boatload of HP and took so damn long to kill him.

That friggen "Corn Boss" in Castle Crashers was a pain in the ass. Towards the end when he gets faster and faster, so that you don't even have enough time to hit him.

I have an urge to mention Meta Ridley in SSBB, fighting to kill him isn't all that hard, aside from the ridiculously overpowered moves he has, but trophy standing the bugger is just so annoying - stands appear so rarely, and even if I do manage to get him, most times he just drops straight off the stage! On top of this, there's a time limit! What were Nintendo thinking when they did that?

Phantasy Star Online has one of the worst boss fights ever. The giant worm thing in the sewers is one the hardest bosses I have ever fought. I took me over an hour to kill that damn thing. Oh and then my husband loses my memory card with the game data. >_<

Pretty much any boss fight with a timer, specifically the final boss in Prototype since that timer pissed me off so fucking much!
