The final "boss" of fallout three is some weak pathetic director guy that will die with one bullet to the head.

Also in alien versus predator 2, the final boss fight for the predator is horrendously and stupidly easy. A harpoon to the head ends the fight in five seconds.

One of the first boss fights on FF8. The Galbadian(?) spider robot thing after biggs and wedge. Run through the opening section too quick and he will kick your ass all day long :p

Stupid robot...

In terms of greatest boss fight, gotta be the End, MGS3. 3 Hours of pure, pants-soaking tension.
Er... you run from that. You're not supposed to fight it. At all. Ever.
Whoops, still, I'll take it as a lesson in perseverance. That said Iirc you cant avoid that fight completely. Either that or its just an illsutration of my lack of ability at the time.
You fight it ONCE, and when you get it to drop (which takes maybe 2 or 3 GF hits) you run, and then if you're canny you can avoid it for the run all the way back to the beach. If not you'll fight it maybe once or twice more, but again you just drop it and run.

Oh yeah, the Brumak (spelling?) in Gears 2 sucked. Hold down button, win the game.

Why do final bosses almost always suck?
yeah, that was definately the most dissapointing boss. They could have made it soo much cooler a battle, but it was press a button and win. : (

I once played this Spiderman game (I don't remember which one) and there was a part where you walked into a convenience store and saw Mysterio. An epic cutscene ensued, and at the end of the cutscene, they let you take over at controls, as with all boss fights in the game. I punch him once and he turns into a puff of smoke. Fight over.
Yeah, it was spiderman 2. I didnt even realize the cutscene was over. I did a move similar to a smash bros mario FAIR (foward aerial) ...disappointing

The final boss in No More Heroes was the biggest piece of crap ever.

Her special, climactic power is to make the level a tiny bit smaller. Whoopdee fucking do.
What about the hidden final boss fight? That was pretty awesome.

I think for the Spiderman fight, they did that on purpose. I thought it was funny seeing all his bars go down in one punch.

The worst final boss I have ever played was Andross (again!) at the end of Starfox Adventures. Also if you save just before you fight him, you can not leave the temple, your stuck there forever!
But what is there to do really? Starfox Adventures didn't really have much other than the main game to it.

OT: The last match of the Hades cup in Kingdom Hearts II, which instead of having a cool or challenging boss, simply had every Final Fantasy character you could possibly think of gang rape your ass at once so you can't even launch an attack.

Since Fable 2's so-called final boss has been mentioned about twenty times now, I'm going to go with the final boss of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. Repetetive battle, and not only did I beat him on my first try, he didn't even get a single hit on me.

Most of the bosses in X-Blades are a pain. Fun at first, but they have way too much health and take way too long to kill.

Also, forgive me for not remembering the name, but in Final Fantasy 6, after meeting The Returners, when you have to protect their leader. You fight that stupisd octopus thing. He's not that hard, but if the leader is KO'd then it's instant game over, and he can die from one hit from full health. SO ANNOYING.

Final Fantasy X... So you kill your own dad, all of your guardian things, get all pumped up for the final boss. When some crappy fairy children come and take away the threat of death making it impossible to lose. No death + Boss that looks like a flaming tomato with a face painted on it = Disappointment and a sense of, what's the point?

The Andross fight was nowhere near as bad as the previous boss fight in Star Fox Adventures, the one with General Scales. You don't even fight him! You're set up for this climactic fight against the primary antagonist of the story, only to have the game yank the controller out of your hand as soon as you attack him so it can take over for you. Fucking ridiculous.

I'd also like to add the final boss in Doom 3. Run around in a circle with the rocket launcher, kill five imps, throw the Soul Cube. Rinse, wash, repeat.

Prototypes, it's retarded. Not that it's hard, but anti-climatic and boring as shit.

Oh and supremely repetitive.

Any of the 7 bajillion bosses in the final level of the first kingdom hearts. it took me at least 3 months to get to sephiroth. ugh!

also, Demyx from KH2 wins the award for most annoyingly difficult boss in a game ever.

i dont know if this qualifys as the best or worst boss battle but...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IS_zWW9jJ34
you are spiderman(the guy who likes wide open spaces) walking into a convenience store, then have to watch a major boss' health bar raise almost 3 times higher than yours(in this game, thats ALOT), and you're stuck and cant get out. also, the store is maybe 10 ft x 10 ft.
i literally spent 5 min just hiding behind a shelf before i got up the courage to hit him.

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. If you cast cure on the last boss it deals insane damage, 3 or 4 casts of cure is enough to kill him.

Minerva in FFVII: Crisis Core takes the cake for dumbest hidden boss ever and for the main boss at the end of a game i think Sephiroth in FFVII, so goddamn easy and pointless...
