Minerva in FFVII: Crisis Core takes the cake for dumbest hidden boss ever and for the main boss at the end of a game i think Sephiroth in FFVII, so goddamn easy and pointless...
I don't think the Sephiroth fight was considered the final boss fight. That was just Square letting you 'experience' the combat between Cloud and the actual Sephiroth.

It was the Safer Sephiroth battle that was the real one. Try doing that one without KoTR, I'm told its pretty intense without it (might not be I never tried).

Final Fantasy X... So you kill your own dad, all of your guardian things, get all pumped up for the final boss. When some crappy fairy children come and take away the threat of death making it impossible to lose. No death + Boss that looks like a flaming tomato with a face painted on it = Disappointment and a sense of, what's the point?
You expected anything more from a game with a main character named "tee-dus" (phonetic) who wines about every little problem in his life. Seriously...he made Squall tame to me :p. Auron was who saved the game.

There was this creature in Pikmin that took me half an hour to take out because it had these items on it that allowed it to atack with every element in the game.

The Giant walker on the carrier in Crysis. Literally all you did was stand on one end of the carrier, shoot at it, while avoiding its lasers. No weakpoints, no strategy, just empty bullets and bombs into it until it dies. And it took a lot of bullets to kill.

you are spiderman(the guy who likes wide open spaces) walking into a convenience store, then have to watch a major boss' health bar raise almost 3 times higher than yours(in this game, thats ALOT), and you're stuck and cant get out. also, the store is maybe 10 ft x 10 ft.
i literally spent 5 min just hiding behind a shelf before i got up the courage to hit him.
That's damn well hilarious. I'm almost tempted to go steal a PS2 and play that now.

My own pick would be any given boss from any given Sonic game. They're all pretty awful.

The boss from Return to castle wolfenstein was so easy...
-1: Shoot
-2: Hide behind corner
-3: Repeat
And the guy just keeps standing there..

General Roth from Red Faction: Guerrilla, he ended up getting jammed between some rocks and I just threw remote charges at him until he blew up

That helicopter fight from Half-Life 2 in the jetski thingy. It took me ages and just got boring...
I couldn't see the bloody thing half the time.

also, Demyx from KH2 wins the award for most annoyingly difficult boss in a game ever.
Is that the chap with the water people that he spammed all over the place?
If it was, then I totally agree with you. It would help if Donald and Goofy did something even noticabely helpful rather than run around saving their sorry hides.

Oh sweet jesus, Seth. Dr. Manhattan rip-off and cheap as HELL. Nearly impossible to beat unless you spam projectiles or play the game like a secondary job, useless when you unlock him. I also remember a ridiculously hard boss fight in Capcom vs SNK 2 against God Rugal or Shin Akuma. They took down all of my three team members almost instantly.

I also remember Yami from Tatsunoko vs Capcom being a cheap boss. Finally, the final boss from Final Fantasy III is insanely difficult to beat. You have to fight 4 difficult bosses before it, without healing or saving. If you lose once, there's no point, it takes too long to get anywhere.
Oh, and Dr Wily from mega man 9. Hate... that... boss...

Well bosses were you fight more then ONE enemy.

Good bosses have a "final showdown" feeling about them. And if you have to worry about small petty enemys at the same time, that feeling gets wasted.

You want a climactic boss fight? Try Turok for the 360...... Fighting a mutant t-rex with a bow surrounded by lava. EPIC lol

Ahh that was great boss fight.. Your after that guy and it goes to quicktime fighting over a knife.. bad gameplay but entertaining to watch.... you knife him, and you think its all over ....then Bam One of the best boss fights in recent gaming history.

OT: i avoid most boss battle genres but probably halo(moniter) or dead space (final) were balls of yawn.

I once played this Spiderman game (I don't remember which one) and there was a part where you walked into a convenience store and saw Mysterio. An epic cutscene ensued, and at the end of the cutscene, they let you take over at controls, as with all boss fights in the game. I punch him once and he turns into a puff of smoke. Fight over.
yeah thats the second. Damn he was a hard boss.

Wrexsoul from Final Fantasy VI. He took residence in one of your party members, and you have to kill one of your party members to get him out. You don't know which it is though, so you're constantly killing your own party.
Ummmmm........ I REAAAAALLLLY have to disagree on that one. In fact that is possibly the easiest boss in that game besides siegfried (maybe not his name but sounds about right) on the ghost train. Especially because if you have the magic "vanish" use it immediately on the two ghost/ whatever things and fights over.

Edit:I can't remember the name of the magic (because i havent played that game in god-knows how long) but the one that sucks ur enemies into a black hole

Puppet Ganons snake form from LoZ Windwaker, the first two parts of the fight are incredibly easy but then it just got impossible.

I hated all the FF12 boss fights, I couldn't save, then I died, and had to play for another hour to get back so I could die again.
But for stupidest fight, I hated the (both of) Oblivion's final bosses
It is almost impossible to beat him if you are a mage.
I couldn't kill him, it wouldn't let me!
