I was once crucified with masking tape. Not the worst that happened, not by a long shot, but I ran into the guy that did it today so it was in my mind.

No, I'm not kidding. The pushed me up against the lockers and taped my arms to the wall and left me there all lunch break (well, until I was found by the next class).

Bulling is a real problem in my school (yes im still in school). Its just like 2 people that no one likes, and the teachers are too much of pussies to punish them and i constantly find myself in trouble because of these guys.

For example:

One of our teachers brought in caramel popcorn as a little treat. So this caramel has dried and its nice and crunchy, and hard, and a bit sharp. You see were im going. This one guy was throwing it at me and my friend like right in the face. Sur eit didnt hurt much untill i got crusted sharp caramel in my eye, where i picked up the playing card that i had in my hand and whiped it at him. And since i throw throwing cards alot i had perfect accuracy. I hit him like in the arm or something. This was after about 10 minutes of getting pelted with these popcorn pieces and after i and the whle class told the teacher and he knew this was happening. After i threw the card i got a lunch detenntion. Sure not a big punishment, but just the fact that i got punished annoys the shit out of me.

Thats just the small stuff, we have constant name calling shit twords alot of people. I'm like admired by alot because i stick up for em.

We havent had really anything big except a few fights, but really its just a build up of annoying shit and the teachers lack of doing anything, and the fact that i always get in trouble for every thing thats a problem.

Heres an Example of how i get in trouble for everything.

I was in my Social Studies class (i swear this teacher hates me) and i was sitting with a few friends, we where having a bit of an off topic conversatin but it was still routed in our studies. So the girl i was talking to made a joke about something, I laughed, not really loud but it was abviosly autible. I got in trouble for not being on topic.

So like 2 minutes later i ask another friend a question about something. And guess what, im "not on topic" and therefor a terrable person, getting yelled at infront of the class and this teacher just saying how disrespectfull i am and everything and that im going to fail the class.

Guess waht fatass, im the smartest person in the whole grade for this social studies class, and im also one of the most respectfull of persons in the grade.

These teachers annoy me obviosly.

But if a girl goes at me im hitting them, im just saying, the "dont hit girls rule" is sexist. Just search the search bar a bit your should find the don't hit girls thread, that has alot of my points burried in it.

Im not tring to cause offence, im just saying the don't hit girls thing really gets on my nerves. Maybe its just because i just had and argument over it.

Bullying to not get bullied?
I don't know, the basic idea makes sense to me.

Most bullies are cowards and will only pick on people that look like easy targets. Therefore if you don't look like an easy target, you'll be less likely to be bullied.

Anyway, to add my own experiences to the thread, I used to get bullied quite a bit myself in the latter years of primary school and the first couple of years of secondary. For a start, due to moving house a few times within a period of several years I had to move schools as well, so I never really established very many close friends. I was also very quiet and reserved (I suppose I still am, though not to the same extent), and I was quite shy and uncomfortable in social environments. On top of this, I was regarded as an oddity due to my dislike of sports and "going with the flow".

So, as you can likely imagine, I was what the bullies saw as an easy target. The bullying usually went on for quite some time. Partly because I was good at bottling up my rage, and partly because I had a thing against talking to the teachers about it (the few times I did tell them that something was going on, they proved ineffectual). The actual things the bullies did weren't that bad, especially compared to some of the things mentioned already in this thread. Just verbal abuse for the most part, with infrequent shoving and attempted tripping. They were persistant though. Honestly, I don't remember that much about any of the bullies or individual incidents though. My mind didn't regard them as important enough to remember, I suppose.

One that I do remember was when I was at one of my primary schools (I forget which one), one of my primary antagonists accosted me on the school field, flanked by a couple of cronies. I remember already being in an extremely sour mood at the time due to being annoyed by him earlier in the day. I can't remember exactly what he said to me, but I wasn't in the mood for any of his bullshit, so I punched him hard in the jaw, pushed him over, put the boot in for good measure, screamed at him to leave me alone and then walked off. He left me alone after that. Sadly, I moved schools a few months after this, and a whole new group of bullies were waiting for me at my new one. Ah well.

I haven't suffered any bullying the past few years though. Partly because I'm pretty well liked here at this school now, and partly because I just decided to stop taking shit from people. I'm still fairly quiet and reserved, but that's just down to my introverted nature and not shyness.

Glad some people step up when people need help. I'd hope that I would do the same in a situation like that. By the way Red Bomb, did you get the police involved? Because there is no excuse for that crap like Undercover said.
Same here, except, it was my year 8 social studies teacher. While he was in college, there were many parties, well he went to one and this chick got really drunk, went up stairs and passed out... About a half hour later my teacher and one of his buddies went up to check on her to see if she was alright. Well, they waked in on two guys, pants around there ankles and the girl still passed out. My teachers friend walks in closes the door, and thirty seconds later walks back out with both of the guys unconsious over each shoulder. Both guys did fifteen years for attempted rape.

I can't remember most of the bullying I went through during the first three years of high school (Australian high goes from years 7-12), but two events stick out because I still bear the marks. In 7th, the tallest girl in the year level who always drank a bunch of energy drinks and was constantly on edge decided that I was sitting on "her" mat during gym. She came up and just said MOVE, and when I said no she started kicking me in the side as hard as she could. I was only twelve and most of my ribs were still soft and/or cartilage, so there's a big dent in my left side over three ribs.

The other is during 8th and 9th, a rather overweight and not-very-attractive girl decided that she didn't like me. For what, I have no idea. She verbally bullied me and constantly threatened to get her friends to beat me up. The taunts of "fat and ugly" ringing in my ears every day from about six girls skewed my mind and made me actually believe their insults. For about two years I ate nothing and weighed a constant 99lbs, underweight for only 5 feet tall. It all came to a head during one gym class (why is it always gym?) when she beat me over the head with a tennis racket. I was nearly knocked unconcious, and when my vision cleared I saw that the metal band of the racket had been bent inwards, completely broken. I still have a dented and overly sensitive part of my skull on the right side.

Most of my bullies either dropped out during 9th and 10th because school was too hard, or they were pregnant, or they wanted to go to TAFE and do a course in hairdressing or makeup. I don't seek revenge, but I feel a sort of vindictive pride in the fact that they've all ended up in Shitsville, Nowhere.

Bullying to not get bullied?
...You know, for someone who wants to work in law enforcement, you have perhaps the worst grasp of human psychology I've ever seen.

Bullies don't want to fight other bullies.
They want to fight victims.
Hell, they don't even really want to fight.
They just want to hurt other people - the old saying "most bullies are cowards" is actually pretty true, generally speaking.

To explain more fully, it works like this: The best way to avoid getting hurt is to appear invincible.
Act like nothing hurts you, fight like you're willing to kill, and in time, nobody will want to test you to see if either of those things are true.
I'm fairly certain Machiavelli said that ?It is better to be feared than loved, if you cannot be both.?

Get back to me if you find out a way to make everyone you meet love you to death.
Until then, my approach works.
I understand the principle of it. "Easy prey" could be a simpler way of putting it, I was really looking for your motives, You protected yourself from bullies by praying on the weak?

And for the final statement, To make the world love you to death, You need to form a band with 3 other scouse people, And spread the love.

And you may underestimate me maxibon.

Yes, To a point your approach worked, But treading on people is not a good way to go through life, As if you have picked on the weak when they were weak, sooner or later they may become stronger than you & look for revenge. I mean take a look at some of the stories in here. Hatred is a powerful driving force.

For someone who is supposedly a master of human psychology (or smartass), You appear to have made a blistering error in judgement.

The worst bullying I ever saw was actually against me and my friend, back in junior secondary. A couple of kids would follow us as we walked around the school, calling us names like "FAG!" (my friend) and "*****/WHORE!" (myself.) It never got physical though, they were just dicks and they were actually pretty easy to ignore. Normally we'd just go on talking to each other while they followed us around. Pretty mild, really.

Don't know about the rest of you, but if anyone tries to be a bully they get beat up in all the schools I've been in so far, mainly because I am the one who stops the bully.

No.
I protected myself by taking a page from Ender's handbook: Any fight someone picks with me, I take to a level they can't compete on and then I make sure they will never bother me again.

Does not apply, already explained that that is an incorrect view of events.

I doubt it.
I don't make mistakes.
From the way you wrote you're first response it sounded like you went into your schools with the intention of saying "im not going to let no bastard mess with me" and just acting out in the first place, to get a reputation as someone that takes no shit.

Now im not saying thats a bad thing, sometimes[/I] but the responses here in the UK would mean that people would challenge you continuously, and the fact that people fear you would make you a social pariah, Only friends being degenerates & bottom-feeders.

And you say max doesnt make mistakes? I think getting arrested is one, AT LEAST.

I don't.
It was an invaluable experience, and it taught me an important lesson(s): Never rely on anyone, and never get caught.
SO you've learned from mistakes?

Seems like your contradicting yourself.

Anyway, Im sick of the pettyness, You seem to have answered all of my questions...For now.

i was bullied and made fun of for a year in highschool. after which i decided imma put an end to it.

i started wearing a long black trenchcoat, spiked bracelets, sun glasses (and black eyeliner) as well as always had some form of death/black metal or eminem quotes in permanent marker on my palms.

people stopped messing with me in an instant, everyone was too scared id shoot up the school if they said anything.

in conclusion: if u cant get respect, fear certainately works.

I've heard plenty of stories but the only bullying I've witnessed was my own. Still to this day I haven't really done anything about it. Of course I'm home schooled now so don't see anyone anymore really. I've been bullied since grade 3 all the way to grade 7 before leaving when it got really bad. It's funny because I moved to a different province after grade 4 and was still bullied.

At my first primary school I copped ALOT of bullying. My mum says that almost every day I'd come home sad and she'd sit down and ask me all about what happened. Kids threatened me to buy crap for them to cram up their fat little gobs, among my friends (except my life-long great friend James who's always looked out for me, never abandoned me and who is actually a resident of the escapist. Him and my other good mate Connor, both of us got alot of ridicule *He had a mild mental condition* but we always looked out for each other) I was the constant victim of getting called names, being insulted, being left out of games, having any personal secret I shared spread out among the school, at several points having them block me out altogether. I suffered a bit of physical abuse such as getting punched in the stomach a couple of times by this one dick head, once in front of my entire class. Also mixtures of things like one time being pinned to the ground by my "Friends" and having filthy orange peels from the ground shoved into my mouth, all the while having them laugh and calling names.

Needless to say I was very fortunate to have left that hell hole at the end of year 3 (Just because most of the boys were going off to this one school so my mum moved me out). But one thing that I've tried so hard to forget was this time when we all went down to the beach together and they started really beating up this innocent kid for no apparent reason. Not wanting to be an outcast again I couldn't stop them and I felt I had to help . The guilt's been eating me up because I know what it's like, this is probably the first time I've ever told anyone.

Well girls you don't hit. I was talking about the little ones like 10 and younger like my little sister (6 y/o). My middle sister on the other hand(20-ish), feel free to knock some sense into her.
