Requiem For A Dream.

The most depressing film ever. I once watched it 3 days after christmas and I could literally feel the joy flow out of me.

Also: 4 posts in the same minute? cool!

I would say the answer to this lies in who you are on a date with. For instance, if this is your first date and you two don't know each other very well, I probably wouldn't go see a horror or thriller, I might even steer clear of certain sci-fi.

Romance, Comedy, Rom-Com are usually the way to go on a first date.

Now if we are talking further down the relationship, well then just about anything goes. You should both know each others tastes and have the ability to say 'no' to any particular movie.

Beat This:

When I was about 14 years or so I rented an anime movie to watch with a girl I had a big crush on. I was not well versed in anime and had only seen a few things like Robotech, Guyver and MD Geist. I found this VHS with a kick ass demon on it and thought that this was to be a sure hit (she is cool, so I didnt need a chick flick).

The title of the movie was Urotsukidōji. For those well versed in such movies you might guess the rest, but for those who arent, here is what transpired:

We sat down to watch, and just about when the demons started appearing in some hospital...the demons also sprouted extremely huge and long dicks and proceeded to rape both the hospital and the girls in it.

I was in complete shock (and she was needless to say wierded out.......) and it was one of the absolutely most embarassing and awkward moments of my life.
WOAH WOAH WOAH!
They raped the hospital?
How is that even possible?
You just need enough dicks, which the movie had in plenty.

The Expendables. Still a good film. Just not on a date.
Freaking AMAZING film.
OT: This has been said, but Napoleon Dynamite. It's just so awkward... and not really funny. At all.

requiem for a dream, depressing and boring piece of shit

on other news, my gf a while back wanted to go watch New Moon and nagged me into taking her.
The depressing thing is that I had Taken another girl to go see it a week earlier so I was sitting there considering shoving forks into my eyes and pretending that I could predict everything in it

The road, something about watching a man and his boy dying slowly through starvation for an entire movie during the end of days really destroys a relationship with a woman....>.>

Ang Lee's "Hulk."
A movie so bad, it doesn't just kill the mood, it makes your date question her sexual orientation. I speak from experience.

Porn, the movie taxi driver pretty much proved that it's not good for a date but than it comes to the movie taxi driver I only say: that movie fits whith everything! (including Bojangles)

My first date with my current girlfriend was to a midnight showing of The Room, actually. Was a good date

OT: Either Requiem For a Dream or Manos: The Hands of Fate- the former because it's such a depressing downer of a film by the end, and the latter because there's no reason you should ever watch that film, in any scenario besides drunk with a drunk audience
