Star Trek: Online. It was the special edition as well. Such a big let down. Why didn't I wait for reviews, or at least realise that 9 out of 10 Star Trek games are awful. Needless to say I didn't pony up for a second month.

PC version of Black Ops. 60$ down the drain. Despite multiple patches, the game is still buggy and runs terribly. It's honestly a pretty good game, played the 360 version at my friends house and enjoyed it. The PC version is just a terrible port however.
Oh, man, I need to high-five you on this. Black Ops was one of the biggest wastes of money ever, and especially since they released the 15$ map packs they claimed would be free...

My best purchase to date was a pre-order of Fallout: New Vegas. I play it since release and I still love it.

Alone In The Dark. What make it worse is that I bought the limited edition version which cost around £50. Sure the figure and the atwork was nice. The CD was meh but none of this hold up for how terrible the game was!

Kane & Lynch 2. That game broke my heart.

At least I knew what I was getting into with Duke Nukem Forever. But K&L2 was a major disappointment.
I played it for the first time yesterday. Frowny face :(
The trailers made it look so good...

Deadrising 2. I borrowed Dead Rising off a friend, and didn't really like it. I got assured though that Dead Rising 2 was much better, so I ended up buying that. Still didn't like it.

I bought F.E.A.R 3 when it came out, I do like it, I just don't play it. I never really feel like playing it, even though it is an alright game. It seems like a waste of money really.

Golden Axe: Beast Rider and King of Figthers 7 I believe it was. Came out last year. I literally brought that one back the same day. It was the most shallow fighting game I've ever played. Why can't more KOF games be like KOF 2006 or Maximum Impact? :T And Golden Axe was just stupidly difficult and repetitive. Brought that back about 2 days later.

That honor goes to DOA Beach Vollyball 2. It only cost me 3 dollars used, and I still feel ripped off.

I've got two: Command & Conquer 4 and SPORE. I bought the first disregarding every review I had read till that point. I wanted more Kane and cool GDI/NOD stuff, and got blinded by that. It turned out they threw the whole resource gathering and base building (the things I love about RTS's) out of the window!!! After playing two hours I put the game away in a dark box, never to be opened again.

Spore, had great potential and I was hyped to play that game. I thought I would evolve my own race from cell to galactic civilizations while waging war with other spore-players. It turned out you could only play solo, while other people's creations were randomly dropped on other planets. No multiplayer warfare whatsoever. Boy was I disappointed!

Brutal Legend. Like a lot of people I fell for the hype, thought I was getting a hack and slash and got a shitty RTS instead.

Civ 5, I only really bought it so I could play hotseat and it didn't have it. It has only just added it but it was very disappointing.

Lost Planet 2. It has splitscreen, claimed the box! "Fuck yes!" I exclaim in joy. Take it home, pop it in, herald my bro over for the split-screen monster-shooting VS-riding action. And...

...the split is fucking useless. I mean, my god. They could not have made it worse. It trims the sides off on a widescreen, leaving you with maybe slightly more than quarter of the screen to work with (ratios retained ala Resident Evil 5). I thought, well, it's bad. But setting my aspect to 4:3 will fix that. It'll be stretched, but it'll be full-screen. ...and nope. Instead of removing the vertical bars (leaving the thing running in just the 4:3 box), it adds horizontal bars to even it out. FUCK! I buy a game for some split-screen co-op and it doesn't even do it right.

Playing online co-op and singleplayer has made me more charitable towards the game. It is a ton of fun in bursts and the monster and mech designs are bloody amazing. It still boggles the mind how atrocious the split-screen is though. I was holding out for a patch, but alas, it seems there is none, or any kind of workaround whatsoever beyond adjusting the screen crop. Most disappointing game purchase ever, for sure, even if it's not the worst.

The Force Unleashed 2. Five minutes of gameplay and the gameplay was exactly the same as it was towards the end of TFU1. There was nothing that could actually kill you, so they threw out more enemies and made some immune to the force. This didn't work at all at making the game challenging, because you can put three million stormtroopers on screen if you want, one high power force push was enough to kill them all, those immune were rare and became nervous looking stragglers that just needed a light tap with a lighsaber before they died or became prey for force abilities again.

And the plot was utterly terrible, considering how well the plot of TFU1 was received (Galen Marek was accepted as canon by fans, Shaak Ti's death was no longer a crap sequence against General Grievous. (Seriously, every popular jedi died like a ***** in that movie, no awesome last stands or heroics, just shot in the back. I'll never forgive them for Kit Fisto!)

Just another cash cow of George Lucas, who himself has turned to the dark side of Hollywood. The guy even sued the creator of stormtrooper outfits because he made his living from selling them! (Lucas lost).

I'd have to say the Wii.

Obviously, a lot of people like the system and I'm not criticizing you, but for me, the controls just barely work, making almost every game on the system frustrating and painful. The only reason I haven't gotten rid of it is that I'm thinking of using it for Gamecube games.

Too Human, hands down. Got it on release day, in Australia, where you have to sign over a kidney to pay for your games. I was dissapoint.

Somewhere between Stormrise and Front Mission Evolved...though if I had to pick, Stormrise set the record for fastest game return I've ever done - a mere 3 Days or so before it was returned and refunded for being a bad game. I only paid £3 for it, and it wasn't even worth that.
