Mass Effect 2 I was severely disappointed by it. Also on a side note I played the Dragon Age 2 demo yesterday and canceled my reserve of it earlier today so on a plus side another $60 crisis averted and transfered to a game that can't possible go wrong... woo pokemon white version!

Because I live in Denmark a game costs at least $100 on its release. I bought Star Wars The Force Unleashed fo that price. I hate that game

Black Ops. I've never been into FPS, and I had much more fun at my friend's house playing Halo 3 with him.

Devil may Cry 4. Loved the first game, second one was just plain awful so I lost hope for the third... but then I played DMC3 and found it was even better than the original! I was very pleased, and was confident 4 would live up to that. I was wrong... so very wrong.
I pre-ordered the collectors edition and everything. I played through the whole game, but by the end of it, I just wanted to cry. Everything was wrong with it. It wasn't even that they didn't try- they TRIED as hard as they could to make the game awful, you can tell they did. Every bad idea they could think of they made sure to add in.
They destroyed my faith that day.

Tom Clancy's Endwar. Man I hate that game, the voice commands never worked because it couldn't recognise my accent properly, I found the AI to be unresponsive and I disliked the 'rock, paper, scissors' style of combat.

I'm going to say Assassins Creed. I played it for about 8 hours and traded that piece of shit in to Gamestop.

A close second would be Star Ocean: The Last Hope but I didn't buy it at $60, I bought it at $20. The whole time I was playing it I thought "What a mess".

The fighting was good but the rest was OH SO BAD, especially the v/o. I want to choke the actress that played Lymle. After a while I really couldn't figure out why I was still playing this piece of trash and I took it to Gamestop. I can't stand Atlus games.

Another awful game: Kingdom under Fire Circle of Doom. That one I paid full price for. I should have listened to myself when I said "it's made by Koei, stay away from it!" Koei is terrible.

The only $60 game I wiffed on was Alpha Protocol; I knew it would stink, I just didn't know how much I was going to hate the protagonist.

ALPHA. FUCKING. PROTOCOL.

Probably one of the worst games I've ever purchased.

Good characters don't save your game when the rest of it is the biggest pile of shit this side of the horse farm.

Played a lot bad games I thankfully never paid $60 for but I was encouraged to re-buy a good game I already owned on a Jap PS1 for the Sega Saturn.

Street Fighter Zero 3.

Sure it had more interesting frames of animation but it was not as smooth as the PS1 version. So a total waste of $65. :-(

Incidentally, was happy to pay $60 for Secret of Mana and would do so again in a heartbeat. :)

I have 3 games I regret buying, but at varying levels of regret.
Mafia 2: I regret 100%. It was so short, and not too fun. I heard there was an open world and thought it would be like one of those sandbox type games where you can go around taking over shops and stuff, like my PS2 Godfather game. I was so horribly mistaken. Every time I look at my Steam library now, I can't help but be reminded of the mistake that sits there.
Black Ops: Wow I regret only 66% or so. I don't play it too much, and I have it for PC. If I had it for 360 or PS3 I'd play it more, but I don't have a console anymore. The single player campaign was...meh. It gave me a massive headache by the time I finished, and I really just plain ol' hated it. I expected by the name "Black Ops" that it would have stealthy parts mostly, where you do things like infiltrate a soviet base, gather some intel, and leave. But then again, that wouldnt be much on an FPS, so w/e. I don't play the multiplayer too much either, cause its laggy and I just suck too much with my computer. Not to mention the hackers. The only part I play that much of is zombies, and I only play kino der toten. five always has a bunch of guys who wanna do the table glitch, and DOA just doesnt transfer to PC well at all. I def. like kino. Overall, if they had a version that just had zombies, or maybe just single player or w/e that would be better.
Civilization V: I regret about 50%. Civ 5 was a sorta fun game, but I feel I could have had the same if not more fun playing Civ 4 or even a historically based RTS. The only reason I got it was cause I like those historical games, and it's games like that that got me into history, which is now my major. Also, I hate myself for buying some of that DLC. So worthless...

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. That game was horrible. I heard Spirit Tracks was even worse, so I just never bought that one (only Zelda game I don't own, really). I'm on the fence about whether I should spend on Skyward Sword ...

Grand Theft Auto 4.

I bought the game off the hype and perfect scores and found it to be fun as a pick up and play game for about 10 minutes at a time only. As such, it is the only game I've sold used shortly after purchase in my gaming history.

Final Fantasy 13. AND I was stupid enough to buy the guide with it. Biggest waste of money.
I did that too. I am done with Final Fantasy. I have seen the direction Square is going with it and I'm fucking done.

Did you know that the inspiration for FFXIII's game play was, brace for it, Call of Duty? yea. Square really fucked that one up.
