I've never bought a game for sixty dollars.

I've bought a game for fifty dollars, the worst of which was Mirror's Edge.

Mirror's Edge is also the best game I've bought for fifty dollars (and my favorite game of all time) because it's the ONLY game I've bought for fifty dollars.

Paid full price for modern warfare 2. NEVER AGAIN.

That's why now I wait for either games I know will be good or for other people to comment.

Or just go to CEX/Charity shop ^-^

Dungeons.
I thought It'd be something similar to Dungeon Keeper, as it was even advertised as a 'spiritual successor' to it.
It's nothing like Dungeon Keeper.
It's boring, nonsensical (in a bad way) and plain not fun.

The worst game I have in my collection(that I bought for $60)is Darksiders. Though there are many pros to this game, I completely regret spending so much money for this game. Bought it for the 360 and I have never seen so many hiccups in a game. Graphics were good, gore was good, but that's about all I can find good about this game. I know there are a lot of people that disagree with me on this, but I would have preferred to spend my money elsewhere.
I made the same mistake. I feel your pain :(

Too Human.....................................on the day i played i doth vow unto my self to actually look up whatever it is not just because it sounds cool. To this day i shall rage.

Edit: id also like to add operation flashpoint pretty much for the same reasons, though i also felt somewhat misled by that one because i thought id be in an epic battle over a massive island with loads of enemies, not just me, three red shirts and six or seven chinese conscripts who could take your head off with a pistol from nine million miles away AND survive being shot in the face 3 times with a "sniper rifle" that had little to no range D:<
...
and relax

I was going to say Halo ODST, which totally should have cost $30, but then I remembered the REAL worst game I've ever bought at full price:

FUEL.

An open-world racing game with monster trucks, motorcycles, extreme weather, some explosions, and multiplayer? How the hell could that not be awesome? I overlooked the somewhat negative previews of the game and pre-ordered TWO COPIES of it so I could play with my dad and brother.

It's a completely barren, boring world with like 50 bland races spread out over the whole massive thing, and the racing is worse than a WoW vehicle quest. I traded them both in for a quarter of the price I bought them for within a week, after playing it for about 2 hours.

That game is why I always go with my instincts (and reviews when applicable), and I only buy high-quality mainstream games on release. Everything else requires a demo or a price drop.

Modern Warfare 2. I racked up quite a lot of hours on it, but it just isn't as fulfilling as other games. Mind, I rarely pay full price for games anyway, thanks to Steam sales.

Fallout 3 was the last game I bought at full price, shortly after release.

I finally forced myself through the awful opening. I finally send 'screw it' to VATS and decided to aim for myself like it was a proper FPS. I finally started to enjoy it 2 years after I bought it, only now it freezes up and crashes more consistently than any other game I have, on a machine that can easily run Crysis on high settings.

I've pretty much given up on FO3 now. Sometimes a game really is more hassle than it's worth.

Plenty of "not worth it" full price games but the most disappointing game I payed full price for so far is the collector's edition of Tron: Evolution. Granted I got $10 off the movie and a spiffy Light Cycle collectible but the game is a bad Prince Of Persia rip off with tough controls and an even shoddier camera. I don't remember seeing any parkour in Tron: Legacy. And no use of the light cycle in battle outside of online multiplayer. You only use it to try to get from point A to point B without crashing. At least the story isn't that bad. About as good as Legacy. Though every time I heard the name "Gibson" being said in the game I kept thinking about the movie "Hackers".

Force Unleashed 2. The trailers and everything had me all excited and then the game was only about 6 hours long and Yoda showed up for 10 freaking seconds after the developers made such a big deal about it. Pissed me off, so needless to say I was pleased when Yahtzee ripped it a new butthole in his review of it.

This was one of the few games I've bought for the full retail price and it was completely on impulse .-. I've been playing it for bloody ages now and it still feels like I'm on the tutorial, every fight is mashing the square button.

Worstest game I've bought for the full price though is Borderlands. Art style and gameplay were both absolutely terrible, despite me liking those aspects when they crop up in other games.
The whole game honestly felt like a Source Mod or something to me.
I didn't think the developers had been lazy or anything, it was a nice effort, it just struck me that they didn't really know what they were doing. They should probably brush up on a little game design theory.

I don't mean this sarcastically and am not trying to insult you but I am deeply curious.

What game recently would you qualify as a high-quality mainstream release?

I never buy games at full price(apart from God of War III and ACII, which I love like crazy), but I did buy both FFX-2 and FFXIII on it's release date.

Well, needless to say, I got very disapointed.
