p.s. Hitler was probably involed with making it so torturous.

That game trumps all other shitty games.
No.. ET for the Atari, word has it that there are million of unwanted copy's burred under concrete in the desert some where... And probably the only game to kill a console. I can't remember IF I have played it though...

Worst game I know I've played, "Gauntlet Seven Sorrows" ... I think, I tend to forget bad games.

Grrrr why man, i thought it was an awesome game.

On-Topic: Yea for me its basically hat the OP said. Everyone had high expectations for Legendary and what with the super awesome pics and vids, but yet it still sucked they must have been pre-rendered.
Don't mind him, he is our local PS3 fanboy and its his opinion.
I thought the game was kick ass as well.

I would have to say the worst games I have played were: Sonic 06, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Heroes, Superman 64, DBZ Sagas, and Naruto Uzimaki Chronicles.

Fucking god damn sonic, I remembered those games before I even recalled Superman 64.

Edit: Halo 3?, if that was the worst game your either trying to be edgy or you have had one hell of a good gaming career.

For myself, in recent years it would have to be a fight between Gears of War 2 or Halo 3.

Now don't get me wrong, I love Halo 3, (despite it's crappy ending. GoW2, however, can go DIAF), but I have never seen a game violate it's own rules so quickly. Example:
Throw gernade at guy. Gernade explodes. Guy dies. Now go try it else where. Well, that didn't work, did it? (or, has this one ever happened to you?) Fire your BR at someone eight times in the head, and they still don't die, yet they fire at you twice and you die? Wtf? I thought hitting someone in the head took longer than that to kill? 'Nope, just with your weapon.' What? Why? 'No reason.'

Now, I only have two problems with GoW2; you press A (xbox360 controls) to do everything, and the chainsaw won't cut everyone. Why? 'because that guy is to big!' Oh, really? So the chainsaw that can cut people my same size in half in a matter of seconds won't even leave a gash on someone else? 'Nope.' Will you at least try? 'Nope'. Gah!!

So yeah, something like that.

Edit: Ah, I totally forgot all about the Destroy all Humans series. Bad controls, horrible voice choices (not bad voice acting mind you, it just didn't fit the characters for me), and poor graphics. I mean, the last one came out on the 360, why does it look like a PS1 game?

On the Halo 3 one with the grenades it depends, if it is against an AI then they probably have enough health to survive, aganist another player well this game has some pretty bad hit detection at time.
As for the BR it is inconsistent because it being overly accurate it would be too overpowered in comparison to all of the short range weapons. It can be aggrevating at times, like with the pistol but oh well at least it is more balanced than Halo 2.

I don't know about the GoW2 one, but the chainsaw has given me alot of problems.

Seriously, people here pick like this thread is called "most overhyped game recently" instead of "worst game ever". Well, if stuff like GoW2 or Halo3 is really the worst you played you should google "Dangerous Vaults" (NSFW and probably not humanity either) or pick a few other games from the Something Awful -50 review list so you learn the actual meaning of bad. If "enemies have more HP than the player" is the biggest flaw you can find you haven't encountered walls that instakill you if you touch them, characters that jump higher than their fatal faling distance or just the old standby, falling through the floor.

Spyro The Eternal Night, mind you I didn't play it, my friend did and holy cow I wanted to tear my eyes out, she was actually having a bit of fun but it was so bad, so very, very bad.

And what's with Halo 3 being marked as worst game? I really didn't like it but it's not the worst game ever, I'd leave that to Shaq Fu, Bebes Kids, ET, Clockwork Knight, Sonic Blast, Mario is Missing, Marios Time Machine, just to list a few

Hmmm....Yeah, I get what you're saying...I'm going to add WiiSports to my list as well, thank you for pointing that out.

Well, I get that, but if it's a duel between me and a 12year old from suffux doped up on redbull, then there's no reason each of us shouldn't have an equal chance at dying, is what I'm trying to say. Would that be more of a connection speed thing (i.e. I have a better connection, therefore I get hit more) than the games fault?

I'd love to say that World of Warcraft was the worst game I ever played, but that would be loathing, not well-rounded judgment. The worst game I ever played would probably be Xcom: Apocalypse.

I was actually pretty excited about this game before it came out. Why? It was one of about three RPGs released on the N64. Instead, Aidyn Chronicles bombed horribly, and I apparently very wisely avoided it. To this day, I'm not sure if ANY good RPGs came out for the N64.

EDIT: There is no way you can justify Halo 3, Gears 2, or most any other successful major release of its ilk as "worst game ever" material. The production values alone (regardless of perceived gameplay flaws) put it at least one step ahead of miles of other crap. Seriously. Go watch a video of Superman 64 on Youtube and tell me Halo 3 is worse. Go.

FlyFF. Embarrassing to admit, but something possessed me to play it. That game wins hands down for most spelling mistakes and worst character class balancing.

(watched the AVGN version of Superman 64) While I cannot say Halo 3 is worse (as I've said, I still like Halo 3, flaws and all), I can still argue that GoW2 is rubbish. What is the most important part of a game? Being able to play it! And I feel that Gears 2 gives me the finger whenever I try and play it, simply because of the chainsaw; I can see that a boomer (for example) is the size of a building, but there is still no reason I cannot at least take a swing at it with the chainsaw instead of holding it over my head like a twat. I know this makes the weapons balanced, but it really takes me out of the game, which is sad, because I really want to like Gears 2. :(

Anyone saying Halo 3 or Gears 2 is the worst game they've ever played must have a Godly gaming history.
