My thoughts exactly. The only game anyone ever talks about at my school is the latest CoD. Why not try some other, more interesting games? This always annoys me.Popadoo said:

I know a few who are like that(except for the age part). I even brought some to the game. One friend I brought on though recently quit the game because players would talk trash to her even when she first stated she was new to the game and was still learning. I guess you can say those who can't be understanding or helpful to newcomers can also be on my list of the worst. They seem to expect everyone to come in knowing everything about the game. Granted WoW has been out for awhile but even new to the MMO scene, or even new to WoW, are not going to know everything, and gamers need to understand that.Kargathia said:
TF2 premiums. They instantly assume all F2Ps are absolute noobs. I was a master spy long before a kind soul got me Premium, and yet servers with certain mods can even block F2Ps from getting in. It's just sad. What's the point of making the game Free to Play if half the servers are unavailable due to dicks?

Worst community I've experienced is the RTS Community, Those that rush get mad when it doesn't work (the best offence is a good defence in the early stages of an RTS game) and those that are surprised that their obvious ambush was spotted by a human when the AI fell for it just start swearing (from my experience, they curse everything from me to their units to my units to the game map to their connection to me clearly cheating them).
But the best community can also be the RTS community. Strike up a conversation with them and if you're lucky you won't get a hyper competitive guy who thinks he's Napoleon incarnate but someone who understands you can have a nice chat while playing chess, so why not when playing an RTS.

OT: Remember overhearing a game of warhammer 40K where a dreadnought had just inflicted 3 assault cannon hits on a group of scarabs, each hit resulting in an instant death (you die instantly no matter how many wounds you have on the target), which both players agreed about...
At which point this guy playing the Necrons openly and shamelessly removes one scarab and declares that he put ALL those instant kill hits on it, since it has three wounds....dear lord I couldn't believe it...
As to online gaming...I think it was in 'Space marine' where a guy kept playing this cartoony song in the mic, LOUDLY...and this is when you have to mute a person every-single-match...at least twice too since it reseted after every loading screen...

I always love playing Halos online when they're new and enough of my friends are online to play with so we can party chat; once they move on to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3,987 (now, with sprinkles,) I quit playing online altogether because XBL folks are just assholes. Wanted is fun when everyone is not being a runner. A hidden gun tends to discipline them. Manhunt is fun when people play as a team and helps the other guy either to kill or to save.The_Blue_Rider said:
