My thoughts exactly. The only game anyone ever talks about at my school is the latest CoD. Why not try some other, more interesting games? This always annoys me.Popadoo said:It isn't people I play online who annoy me, they're just idiots.|
No, it's the tools at my school who only buy Call of Duty and Fifa.
I ask how they can get by without a variety of different games, and it just irritates me that they don't try RPGs or different Action/Adventure games, hell, It'd be a wave of relief if they give Dance Dance Revolution a try, but all they play is the same series of shooters, they don't even play different shooters. Just COD and Fifa.
That's every Fifa, by the way. Every single year it's ''LOOK HOW NEW IT IS!''. It's the same game re-released with better graphics, get the fuck over it and play something else! Vary your games!
And then they have the nerve to talk about how bad other games are, when the only things they play are rehashed shit.
/Rant over
I know a few who are like that(except for the age part). I even brought some to the game. One friend I brought on though recently quit the game because players would talk trash to her even when she first stated she was new to the game and was still learning. I guess you can say those who can't be understanding or helpful to newcomers can also be on my list of the worst. They seem to expect everyone to come in knowing everything about the game. Granted WoW has been out for awhile but even new to the MMO scene, or even new to WoW, are not going to know everything, and gamers need to understand that.Kargathia said:In contrast with most people here the first thing coming to my mind when thinking of "the worst gamer I've ever met" isn't some total dickwad, but actually a pretty nice guy. Or boy.
My WoW-guild once took on a mage as social, who turned out to be a bafflingly inept 14-year old. In contrast with the popular stereotype he did not swear, insult, or talk smack. He was aware he wasn't very good, and tried his best to get along.
That, and he sounded awfully cute over ventrilo. The kind of voice where you picture a set of oversized eyes, and him having to pad his chair with extra cushions, just to reach the keyboard.
Very funny... I hope that wasn't just for me...DustyDrB said:Well, I'm sure everyone has heard of this asshole [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view] by now. A disgrace to gamers everywhere...

Can't think of anyone in particular, but people who lack honour or use cheap glitches.

Those out there in the xbox community with something good to say (such as us) seem to choose not to say it due to the fact other gamers are such fools!TheMightyAtrox said:Everyone I ignore in online play. Is it bad that I only use my mic in a party, because I assume that almost no one out there in the XBLA community has anything good to say?
Is that a bite, or sarcasm...? The link takes everyone to their own profile...TITAN59650 said:Well if you don't like me it's probably your fault for being a twat at one point or another.DustyDrB said:Well, I'm sure everyone has heard of this asshole [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view] by now. ^This. I always love playing Halos online when they're new and enough of my friends are online to play with so we can party chat; once they move on to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3,987 (now, with sprinkles,) I quit playing online altogether because XBL folks are just assholes. Total assholes. Literal ASSHOLES, the orifices through which waste and bile passes from a living creature in the natural digestive process.darron13 said:Almost anyone playing First Person Shooters online.
Wanted is fun when everyone is not being a runner. A hidden gun tends to discipline them. Manhunt is fun when people play as a team and helps the other guy either to kill or to save.The_Blue_Rider said:Oh god this so much, I hate runners so much, which is why I never play Wanted, I barely ever come across people who actually try being stealthy. Manhunt is the better game type because if you aint stealthy then you will die, a lot.Random Argument Man said:Let's see... A lot of players from MOBA games are pretty bad. (Not all of them)
I never understood why a lot of team based game have players who refuse to act like a team. It ruins pretty much everything. Oh, and runners in the Assassins Creed multiplayer. (Your goal is not to run the entire map just to have 100 points...).
God, I know EXACTLY what you mean, I have a friend just like that.Xprimentyl said:^This. Other than them, the worst gamer is actually my best friend who becomes fixated on ONE game (CoD) and will play nothinig else despite claiming to REALLY want to! I let him borrow Mass Effect 1 THREE times over the course of a year and he might have logged an hour and a half total. And he kept asking to borrow it! "F'real, man I'ma play it this time!" You should hear his excuses: "Man, I was gonna play it, but my dudes saw me pop online and started sending me invites to play some 'Duty, I told I was only gonna play one match.... and that was two days ago."
Well I did say "almost" so sureNouw said:I wouldn't say worst but a few people on a game I was playing yesterday, had the best equipment and weapons. They had a fantastic position but they could not hold it. This is why you also need skill.
