I had acute pneumonia for a couple weeks when I was in second grade, and at the time I thought that nothing could be worse, but a few years ago I had scarlet fever...do I win the thread?

good to hear ... I still feel for you, that's a tough condition. I've played sports all my life and can't really imagine life without it. but I guess we all make do with what we have. you're probably a lot better at video games than me (and I don't think that's a bad thing, I have gamer envy all the time).
I appreciate that, whole-heartedly. It just takes getting used to. I've got one of those handicap stickers so I can park close to where I need to be, and I also live in Winnipeg which is cold 10 months of the year so that helps a ton.

What I'm still baffled by is how my great-grandmother lived with it (it's hereditary and has been in my family for generations). No air conditioning, no automobiles, outside in the blistering heat all day working the gardens and taking after children.

Multiple sclerosis. Not acutely annoying, only when you think about what it might add to its sortiment of symptomes later down the line.

Tied between Asthma and Acne

asthma because it stays with you forever and it always gets me sick.

Acne because i fought that shit for so long, it went away only when i was informed of isotretinoin and it was like a miracle cure, a agonizing miracle cure.

I had two ingrown toenails so bad they both required surgery. Surgery involving them burning the skin off those toes. And I had it done by a doctor with tattoos up his arms and a red mowhawk. While I was awake, smelling the flesh burn off my toes, he talked to me about Gears of War and Iron Maiden. At least that part was cool.

Had facial nerve palsy a few years back. Only on the left side of my face, but those were probably the most unbearable eight weeks or so of my life.

I am allergic to tree-nuts, peanuts and nut-based products. The whole lot of them.

There is a whole slew of things I cannot eat.

I do have a pretty bad joke that goes along with it though. It started back in high school when someone was doing a poll of student sexuality. The questions were "are you straight, gay or bi?" and "why?" my response was "I guess I have to be straight, because I'm not allowed to have nuts in my mouth." My friend started cracking up, but the girl didn't get it, and he told her it was funny because I'm allergic to nuts. She chuckled and walked off.

see, told ya it was a bad joke.

Every once in a blue moon I'll be unknowingly exposed to something I'm allergic to and bust out in itchy hives. I never find out what it is though. Other than that, I'm good.

I've had an ingrown toenail for years but that's sort of been gotten used to now.

My worst ever was a urinary tract infection. It was horrible, you get the feeling of needing to piss constantly, and when you do squeeze it out, it fucking hurts,.
I've had this Chronic Cough for 3 months straight. Need to see a Dr.

Allergic to milk... Yeah it sucks, and to make it worse I didn't used to be, so I know the taste of ice cream.
EDIT: My captcha was "ethnic office"?
Dear God sir! I'd commit suicide if I came down with something like that. Cold Milk is like Liquid Crack to me.

I have some problem with my stomach at the moment.. I think its a stomach ulcer... but it hurts a lot... I use to have anxiety which hurt but I could always get rid of it where with this... I can't. That and I ate tacos with hot sauce and my stomach acted up and man... I was for sure I was dead for a little. Yet I wasn't so yay! Yeah though ulcers hurt...
Ouch. Have you tried working ginger and mint into your diet? They are naturally good for your stomach. I had a lot of stomach problems until my ND told me to start taking probiotics. You can get these tasty chewable strawberry flavored ones and it seems like candy instead of medicine. Really helps too. :)

Depression. I've had it over half of my life, and it's obnoxious.

I just threw up in my mouth a little.

I had the same problem, but on a fingernail, apparently me biting my fingernails caused that and now I don't have that problem anymore(Had to bend up half my nail, damn did it hurt. It did however stop me from biting my nails) :D

I've also had that "urinary tract infection" you speak of, it felt like there was a huge friggin boulder inside the urethra. The problem I faced was to either pee slow and be in pain for a longer time or to pee fast and have one of the worst and annoying pains I've had.

But for my most annoying,I'd have to go with my biological problem of not "needing" as much sleep as a normal person would. That means I sleep less then the average person and I'm constantly tired but can't sleep. It has affected my memory and in recent times I've become apathetic.
Or that's what I would say if I hadn't gone through some trouble recently which made me even more sleepless, so now I go on fallasleep-pills and my mood has become much better :D

I had a slight under bite when i was younger. It was really no big deal and I could have lived with it just fine. It didn't make me look ugly and I was just fine with the ladies.

My parents (one who is a doctor btw) said i really should have it corrected through surgery because it could screw up my bite late in life.

Instead of cutting my bottom jaw and moving it back they moved my top jaw forward. This entails cutting the bones on the front of my face and through my sinuses.

My face looked and felt like I hat been beaten with a hammer for 2 months. Since they cut through my sinuses I was leaking blood down the back of my throat for 2 weeks. Blood can seriously irritate your stomach and I puked up blood several times a day for the whole 2 weeks.

And the pain was horrific.

Since then I have had my appendix removed on valentines day.

I broke my ankle playing disc golf and had to have my ankle bolted back together.

But the worst most annoying medical problem I have is gout. FUCKING JESUS WHEN I GET A FLAREUP I JUST WANT TO SLICE MY FOOT OFF!!!!! Shit feels like my foot got run over by a truck.

Sorry for long post!!!
