Sick and sadistic much?
The ending literately made me laugh for a good 5 minutes, it was horribly inappropriate but the irony of it was awesome.

Watchmen. They changed the damn tentacle monster. (Don't flame me please!)
Totally. They forgot the political message of the comic. In fact, the whole film forgot all the messages from the comic.

As for me i was greatly pissed off at PotC 3 where they spent 30 minutes in a damn whirlwind.

Avatar. The most cliche, bullshit, predictable cop-out in existence. The last two seconds of it clearly open the door for a sequel (The more obvious reason is that James Cameron wants more money.) What (Disney movie) will he rip off next? Toy Story? The Lion King?

"Knowing", the movie had so much fucking potential, and then they pulled that bullshit ending.

I might go with this, I really enjoyed the film and then at the end thought "...Buh?" because I hadn't expected it. It didn't really add anything and even as irony didn't make much impact, it was a anticlimax. I later found out that the book had a different ending, way to drop the ball a foot from the endzone...

The ending of "I AM Legend". "I have a nade, here, lets run at the vampire/zombie thing with it, rather than throw it!"

Yes it was Alan Moore's intention when he was writing Watchmen to make it extremely difficult to translate to film. He didn't realise at the time that they could butcher it.

If you like Alan Moore you should check out his interview/film thing called The mindscape of Alan Moore. It is awesome.

I thought that was horrific, but so effective.

Family Man, starring Nicholas Cage. I'm seeing a trend here... So pointless and it literally invalidated everything that came before. I felt the same way about the ending to Up in the Air.

...but I loved the ending to No Country For Old Men. Life sucks, then you die. There's a lot of truth in that.

Life, the protagonist always dies.

Ahem, on a more serious note, it would have to... erm...
[sub]How many movies have I watched? One, two, three... twelve.[/sub]
Out of those it would have to be Eragon but the movie was awful in general.
this is about movie endings not horrible movies (granted eragon sucked so hard it fails in every catagory)

but my worst movie ending would have to go to:
Transformers (the michael bay one of course)

I mean ok you can have some cheese at the end of a movie (I am Legend), even some romantic dribble that seems wierd in such an action packed movie(Braveheart). But Transformers had too much of both. Optimus Prime's speech at the end of that movie makes me barf every time.
It. Just. Sucks.

"And it was all just a dream..."

Off topic: What pisses me off is hearing about awesome movies from decades ago where everyone knows the ending. Fight Club and The Sixth Sense, ruined before I even saw them.

Knowing, that was a horrible ending :(
The minute I saw this thread, I knew Knowing would sneak it's way into the first ten posts. Definitely sticks uncomfortably to the front of my mind, so much so I find it hard to conjure up any others.

Although I've just spotted my DVD of "The Midnight Meat Train", an adaption from a collection of short horror stories. Coming up to the climax it felt like it was barrelling towards a decent, unique ending and then it thought f*ck that, and veered off into a brick wall.

Conversely, The Mist had one of the (I'll use the word) best endings I've seen. Plus all the creatures they used happened to be of the types that sh*t me up the most.

I'll probably be laughed out of this thread but I'd say kill bill vol. 2

The whole point of the movie was revenge via epic sword fights. Hell David Carradine even suggests one (at which point I got a beautiful mental image of an epic duel by moonlight on a snow covered beach). And this duel to end all duels is over in 3 seconds by means of a maneuver that a lord of the rings fan has trouble suspending his disbelief when he saw it

go to hell Quentin Tarantino (insert ascii middle finger that I'm to lazy to make here)

Oh hell yeah. Great value for free money and you really see some interesting things. Also, just interviews with him are intriguing.
