"12 Monkeys."
Yeah, that 95% of the movie you just watched? All pointless.

"Mullholland Drive."
Yeah, turns out the whole movie was this chick's lesbian masturbation fantasy. Sounds like that would be cool, but totally boring apart from the sex scene.

Avatar because it made little sense to me, the blue smurfs were retreating from the small platoon of Marines by the end of the movie, but then it cuts to the next scene where they apparently have taken over the entire Military base (Whom would be guarded by twice as many Marines) kicking the humans out. Sorry movie, but I don't buy that unless you show me that somehow the smurfs got reinforcements or secretly infiltrated the base in some miraculous way.

Then again Avatar in general wasn't the greatest movie to judge by its plotholes anyways.

The Italian Job. It could do one of two simple things:

1) Fall
2) Somehow miraculously survive.

But no. It HAD to finish balanced on the cliff edge. Brilliant if you're going to make a sequel, but they never bloody did
yeah that was a pretty bad ending i shall agree with you! i like the original much better than the 2003 remake
Damn right. On the upside, Jason Statham is meant to be in the next sequel, it's called The Brazilian Job, meant to come out 2011.

Also, the 2003 one would have been a LOT cooler if they'd done the heist they planned originally, instead of having to call if off because of a house party. They were gonna drive mini's around a friggin mansion.

*Gets Flame thrower.*

That's a logical improvement gosh darn it!

[sub]I actually really live Watchmen so PM me if you want to discuss thoughts on the movie! :D[/sub]
If, by "logical improvement" you mean "expecting the world to come together against Dr Manhattan even though there's no point in attacking somebody who is invulnerable" then yes.

And besides, it's hard to think about how it would continue from that point on. Exactly what do you do when time goes by and you see no sign of Doc Manhattan doing anything at all? At least with aliens and giant squid people cannot know what to expect.

The Mist. The books ending was so much better. The one time that Stephen King wrote a good ending and they bloody change it!

They drive indefinitely never finding the end of The Mist. That's why it was such a good ending, because it left you thinking.

I agree. Sad movie endings make me sad.

The ending of "I AM Legend". "I have a nade, here, lets run at the vampire/zombie thing with it, rather than throw it!"
I haven't seen that film, but i know enough to know it completely butchers the book, and misses the point entirely. I'd spoil it, but really you should just read it, It's amazing.

(Am i missing something, or is the film really just another mindless vampire/zombie survival film? Why would they even call it the same name?)

I think No Country for Old Men had a horrible ending. They need some kind of conclusion, but decided to be cool like the Sopranos.
This. Great movie, gripping all round, until it decided to be clever and break genre. Then it just went out like a wet fart. Also, Pixar's UP. Oh yes, I went there.

It actually had an ending but it was edited out. Lots of people have come up with realistic ways of getting the gold and surviving.

Yeah I liked the Tenticle monster/alien.
But in hindsight It would have been over some Audiences heads.

Boondock Saints (the first one).

I understand why they did it, i just dont see why they had to be so flamboyant about it. Wouldn't they have been better at their jobs if they'd kept a low profile, acting more like keyzer soze then an actual, visible terror?

...Of course, this is just before the invention of mobile phone cameras, but still. At least a hundred eye witnesses to the most dangerous vigilantes in America? please.

Planet of the Apes remake
The Box. I fucking hated that movie so much. It was my least favourite movie of 2009. It made me want to punch things.

Also, I don't get the hate for the ending to The Italian Job, I loved it.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

It was going ok until Spielberg let Looney-Lucas loose on the ending.

Also Cloverfield, but then I felt it was a let-down in general.

I too think the ending to The Mist was horrendous, but then again i haven't read the book which would always be better, but the movie ending was predictable, lame and ironic in every way. Suck shit to the guy.

Also POTC 2... didn't watch it a second time lol.

Alien Resurrection.
So one of the most awesome scenes in movie history where the alien gets sucked out a small hole in the glass is the worst ending ever?
Yes absolutely one of the worst endings ever. The idea had SOME merit but that film was ruined by such a stupid ending

I'll probably be laughed out of this thread but I'd say kill bill vol. 2

The whole point of the movie was revenge via epic sword fights. Hell David Carradine even suggests one (at which point I got a beautiful mental image of an epic duel by moonlight on a snow covered beach). And this duel to end all duels is over in 3 seconds by means of a maneuver that a lord of the rings fan has trouble suspending his disbelief when he saw it

go to hell Quentin Tarantino (insert ascii middle finger that I'm to lazy to make here)
I despise tarentino. I'm going to takle this one further. Every Tarantino movie ever made. Can't speak for JAckie Brown though, because I've never seen it. I suppose the ending to Pulp wasn't that bad thinking abput it but it wasn't worth wanking over. Overrated twelve year old in a middle aged man's body.
