I was playing baseball on 10 year old allstars and we were doing fielding practice. I was the pitcher and the coach was hitting balls to center field. These were going really fast because he wanted to make it hard on the outfielders on account of it being an allstar team. Most were going to the left and right but one when straight up the middle. It hit me in the knee cap and i buckled over screaming for a good 10 minutes. I don't remember 100% but I think the ball caused a small fracture in my knee. I was out for half the season. On the plus side, good thing it wasnt higher because I didn't where a cup back then. Later on the season as it was just healing, I took a grounder to the same knee though not as hard, that sucked too.
EDIT: I also almost shattered my jaw or hell even have had my neck broken when i sledding on a really icey steep hill on a disc and it turned towards a bench. Luckily i layed flat just in time and only scraped my chin. Scared the shit out of me though.(Note discs travel alot faster than sleds so i was probably going 20 mph)
