Killing Herbert in Fallout 3 with fire. The noises he makes, they haunt my dreams.
hey you want an involving rpg be prepared to lose some sleep on account of being a dick :p

I gotta say planet-scanning in ME2 or the overall broken-gamey glitchiness of L4D. Amazing games otherwise...

The fact that in Brutal Legend, if you want to play a different chapter again you lose all your progress on your previous save (this could easily be fixed by allowing multiple saves) this makes it EXTREMELY frustrating if you're going for the trophies where you have to collect/find a bunch of stuff you really wouldn't have cared about if the game didn't give you trophies for finding them and also I can't play online matches because no one plays it online anymore. (although upon reflection this is more of a community issue or lack thereof than anything else)

Halo (say what you will): The flood. Zombies with shotguns is bad, zombies who are invisible are bad, and zombies with energy shields are bad. Thank god Bungie realized we just weren't having fun with them when ODST came out.

The worst part of my favourite game which by now should be pretty apparent, is a tie between initially recovering Miss Ashley, and also the portion of controlling her supple, incapable body.
That aspect of the game basically ruined it for me. Why can't she pick up a spare gun, or even a pointy stick? Shouldn't the president's daughter know anything about defending herself? She does nothing, absolutely nothing to help, unless some puzzle requires the presence of a second participant.
It's understandable if they wanted to create a certain tense atmosphere by having a defenseless ward to take care of, which is undoubtedly effective in a horror game. Ashley however is an adult, and it just isn't practical and doesn't compliment the game to have her behave the way she does. It's one thing to let your skilled rescuer call the majority of the shots, but to not even attempt to do anything of use is puzzling. If that's what they were aiming for, they should have made her a young child that Leon could piggyback throughout the game, how cute.

The ending to Fallout 3 (pre-DLC).

That really got me confused, I mean, why would you kill off the only playable character at the end of a sandbox game, when there is SO MUCH MORE to do after that? I ended up having to reload a save file and just going on from there.

But then of course the Broken Steel DLC was released and I was happy again :)

In Minecraft, you can't unstack things, which gets a bit annoying for crafting and whatnot.

EDIT: Never mind, you can unstack things. Ignore this post.

Spyro 1 is my default favourite game. It's super fun and really replayable, but my main gripe is that it's really easy and kind of short.

Oblivion - Dungeons were too monotomous, Been to 1 been to them all
Fallout 3 - Nonsense Plot and little lamplight
KotOR - Was there anything that was wrong?
KotOR 2 - THERE WASN'T AN ENDING
Bioshock - The last 2 hours
Mass Effect 2- Not enough freedom for a RPG

I love saints row 2 but i'm a little dissapointed how your character turns out by the end. In the first one your recruited by a gang that wants to take the streets back from the other gangs and make the city a decent place to live again.

By the end of the 2nd one (SPOILER) you end up becoming just another warlord crime boss. Your just as bad as the gangs you sought to take out and you even go out of your way to kill the one voice of reason and your former mentor and it seems like the game is trying to convince you that its a positive thing.

I can deal with the idea that your character has been corrupted and turned into the very thing he/she was trying to destroy but it shouldn't be viewed as a good thing.

i'm hoping if they make a 3rd game it will star as a new character trying to take your previous character down. and if you've beaten the 2nd game then your saved character could be uploaded so that they look the same when you go to face them.

Devil May Cry 3. The cheesy lines. I so badly wanted to ask Dante if he wanted some wine with that cheesy.

Ugh, I thought Ashley and her big ol' monkey ears was the worst part of the game in general. A body's nothing if the face haunts your every dream xD

And that voice. "LEON!! HELP! LEON!" I would take Navi over her any day.

There was some pretty big freedom in Mass Effect 2. Until near the end where you had a certain amount of time if you wanted to save EVERYONE.

You got to skip story missions, and scan planets for new missions. MAss Effect 1 did it much better...

I agree with you on everything else though lol. Especially KotOR 2. Ending pissed me off. The worst part of both those games, in my opinion, would be how Godly you get once you near the end. You start getting one hit kills and no one can stand up to you. Even the boss battles are simple.

As for Mass Effect 2, the scanning bullshit... ugh... I stopped blinking one time while doing it. Tranced by the "Beep......beep.....beep.....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! CACHING!.......beep......beeep.....beeep..."

By the way, that middle part was finding the materials, then probing them, just in case anyone wondered xDD

Anyhoo, the worst part of my favorite game is...
Sailing.
Game should be obvious.
I am with you bro, horrible horrible sailing.
the boat was red though which kept my attention for some time.
I forgot to mention the sidequests. They were really counter-intuitive, and there was barely any hint or direction as to even begin them. For instance, to get the Deluxe Picto Box, you need to take pictures of people in specific situations, and then catch a barely visible bug in a forest across the ocean. How was I supposed to know to do this? None of the sidequests, such as getting the special sea charts (Octo, sea hearts, etc), had any initial direction.
They definitely had the chance to use the NPCs for this, but instead the NPCs were useless. What I mean is a system where passers-by could say things like "I heard that there's this thing that does X located somewhere around Y."
I mean, the dungeons had puzzles that you had to figure out, but you figured them out logically by examining your surroundings, not just by random chance. Why couldn't the sidequests work like this?
I thought the worst part was finding the Triforce pieces. That took FOREVER. I had to look at a guide, and I never use guides. I spent more time sailing in that game then I did on the actual story.

And I didn't think the maps of where the pieces are were too helpful. It showed a bit of island and pretty much slammed you on the bum and kicked you out the door.
