Episode 2? What the hell are you on about? There are only episodes IV, V and VI.
you're delusion fails as there can not be a 4,5 and 6 without 1,2 and 3. it would have work better if you said "empire strikes back that was awesome how could you think that was horrible"

ot: episode 1 it was so boring,oh god was it boring
No, sir! The movies clearly state that they are episodes IV, V, and VI.
Only in the new editions. It's the subject of much nerd rage, actually.

I'd have to go with Episode II. The dialogue was (barely) worse than that of Episode I, mostly due to the "romance", and Episode III is pretty bearable if you treat the whole thing like a light show. Moreover the dialogue moved towards the "so cheesy it's hilarious" range from the previous films' "oh God oh God my ears are bleeding" range.

If I were in a troll-ish mood, I'd say one of the original trilogy to see the reactions, but I'm not, so I'll have to say Attack of the Clones - dreadful dialogue, rubbish fightscenes, incomprehensible plot, etc.

Fitting first post, seeing as I'm the biggest Star Wars geek.

Episode I was eons of boring and stilted, save for the lightsaber duels at the end :D
Actually, I tuned out the storylines for the prequels when they got too soppy, only really paid attention to the cool light shows - but Episode 3 was perhaps the best of 'em.

It is definetly episode 2 or 3, the movies are just a mess with horrible script, terrible romantic and political content that cannot be taken serios by ANYONE, and there's one proble that I don't know if anyone else has, but I don't like how they pull out their lightsaber every 5 minutes. In the old triology they did it once or twice in the movie so when they did you knew shit was getting REAL! In episode 2 & 3 they do it to often and with to many lightsabers. It just looses the apeal.
In the end I have to go with episode 3 since they made Vader a pussy even in the most badasslooking armor ever.

Episode One. Not enough focus on the characters (and I admit I didn't understand the trade federation blockade thing).

What, lack of decent lightsaberfights? In episode 6 is the best saberfight of them all when Vader tries to lure out Lukes anger by threatening to go after his sister. Luke goes into rage-mode and overpowers Vader and gives us the best lighsaberscene where he sends a mad flurry of attacks on Vader that actually looks realistic. Int episode 1.2.3 everything is so imprinted in the actors head that it looks like a terrible dance with glowsticks. Some of the stances just hurt my head as a martial artist.

Im not saying that its a bad film, i love the original trilogy, but i did think that the lack of a decent lightsaber fight detracted from the original film.

Edit. Why did the post duplicate when edited?

Hey OP, you never mentioned the Clone Wars CG movie, can that count?

Well, if I have to choose from the two trilogies, Attack of the Clones would be my pick. The romance scenes are unbearably painful to watch, what with Hayden Christensen's awful delivery of already horrid dialogue. Natalie Portman redeems it a bit by wearing that sexy leather outfit with long gloves during the scene by the fireplace, but no amount of eye candy can make up for the cringe-worthy lines. It wouldn't even be so bad if it was just a few short scenes, but it has to drag on and on for the whole first part of the film. It's called Star WARS, not Star Awful Romance.

Of course, I have one major issue with the prequels as a whole. I hate it how Anakin is portrayed as a whiny, immature, self-absorbed punk instead of a noble yet flawed character that the audience could relate to. Mr. Lucas, I will always be thankful you decided to create the Star Wars mythos to begin with, but I will never forgive you for botching Anakin's character so horribly.

Phantom Menace, although I personally disliked Attack of the Clones more... but Phantom Menace was a worse movie.

Yeah what's with all these kids talking about new movies. Maybe they're talking about those newer games or something, you know that aren't Tie Fighter.

Episode 1. It set the entire franchise down the craptastic path that resulted in 2 and 3.

I know every one seems to hate Episode 2 (or the entire new trilogy for that matter) but I think all of them are good in some ways and bad in others, so I can't decide whats the 'worst' Star Wars movie. 2 had a confusing place in there but 5 had the worst ending.

I don't really see why people hate the prequels (besides the horrible acting)I enjoyed them all.

Though I supposed number one was the worst, it's the only one I don't remember any of, despite knowing I've seen it multiple times.

Episode 2: Attack of the Clones

Why?
All the pointless scenes of Hayden Christensen rolling around in the grass with Natalie Portman in what has to be the most agonizingly boring superficial and inaccurate "romance" ever put into a serious story arc.

Episode 3 is barely better, but that's like saying "Well, one acid-filled hypodermic needle jammed through my eye is better than two."

- They fucking retconned Padmes death. This might seem nerdy, but I think it's a big deal. In Return of the Jedi, Luke asks Leia about her mother. Leia said she remembered her, she died young and was often sad. LEIA KNEW HER MOTHER. SHE DID NOT FUCKING DIE AT CHILDBIRTH. Picky? Fuck you, this is inexcusable.

Anyway, fuck the prequels and anyone who likes them. Glory to the orginal trilogy.
I'm pretty sure she was talking about her adoptive mother, whom she believed was her real mother.

hands down, episode 2. i actually liked episode one, but holy shit, this took it to new levels. Just a horrible, horrible movie.

what's your least favorite?
How is this not a poll?

And yeah. 1 is shit but 2 should have learned from it and the fact that it didn't hurts it even more.
