I seriously dislike the traditional black stereotypes. Like when the black guy always says:
"Yo man."
And when the black woman always snaps her fingers and says:
"Oh no you di-ent."

I really do tire of seeing things like this in movies and I find myself secretly hoping that these characters get killed off somehow.

If this even counts, the worst are the 2nd/3rd tier characters who start to gain some popularity and then the writers over-use and kill them. Here is a list of them:

Futurama - Scruffy the janitor - I hate this guy so much.
Simpsons - Ralph Wiggum
South Park - Randy Marsh (although Randy is fucking hilarious)
Family Guy - Herbert the pervert and the chicken suit guy.
Has to be this. Besides Randy, he is genuinely funny.

"The Girl" Stereotype, she's just that girl that they add in just because. She can have a different look, a different personality, but in the end she's only there so the main character and the audience have a decent pair of boobs to ogle for the duration of the adventure.

Symptoms of being "The Girl":

Getting kidnapped or otherwise put into a situation where the hero(Man) has to rescue your incompetent ass.

Developing a relationship with the main character for no real reason, he's kind of a tool, you expressed a disgust in him right from the get go, etc...

Putting out at the end. It can be something as simple as an acknowledgement that, yes you do in fact care for the hero, or you could really just... put out. This has to happen either near or at the end though.

Note: Sometimes "the girl" stereotype works... It's just something we see all the time, but it still could work.

Please see the examples below, for help on how to spot "The Girl"

Personally, I think Shia Labeouf is just as much "The Girl" you mentioned as Ms. Fox there.

All those bastards unwilling to die once and for all.
Even more powerfull enemies (not mentioned before) who replace those recently killed "ultimate evil" ones.

And this, pretty much everything in this.
That really made me laugh, thanks for that! That video couldn't have summed up just about every movie EVER in a better way.

*Daleks (Sorry, I'm a bit anal like that!)

Well yes, that would be any of the storylines from the previous 4 series of Doctor Who. Thankfully Russell T Davies has gone now, phew!

I quite Liked Russel Davies writing, and I'm very fond of Matt Smiths Doctor.

And don't thank me, thank the nice people at Cracked.com for being hilarious :D

The kind of woman who is tough but vulnerable inside but hides her emotions so that in the end she is emotionless and boring. That's why I like Lisbeth Salander; the reason she looks cold and emotionless is because she is like that.

Well, most of the annoying stereotypes have been mentioned... The token black guy is pretty annoying imo (stereotypical gansta badass speaking with ghetto slang and how he's all gonna pop a cap in ur ass).

Which is why I totally love the office on how the boss Michael Scott just doesn't get it. Example:

The pointless characters which are simply there to fill in a stereotype slot. There are many but the one that pissed me off the most is:

Io from "Clash of the Titans" (pointless female, cautionary team member).

The most pointless, annoying, stupid character that I have ever seen in cinema. The writers basically relise that they have appsolutly destroyed the basic plot and as Andromada is no longer in it for more then 5 minutes, they have to add a new pair of tits or we guys might lose interest. Thats insulting enough but combine that with the fact that her character makes NO SENSE, she's immortal but can be killed. Her dialogue is the same annoying warning over and over again... groan. The actress that plays her is decent but her character is just pointless.

Too many anime characters are starting to act like Ash Ketchum from Pokermanz these days. It annoys the crap out of me.
Why does everybody needs to be a idiot who forgets everything?

Indeed, he was the most incompetant Pokemon trainer ever and he just forgot the same thing over and over again. I swear he once had to cheack in his pokedex to see what a Pikachu was. Not to mention he paid no attention to Misty, who was a smoking hottie, she wore so little. Still I watched the show because of previously stated hottie and Brocks attempts to get laid.

Haha you said anal.

Anyway i don't think the writer could do anything but write the daleks in once every series. There was time before the start of the first new series when the daleks might not even appear because someone not part of the BBC owned the rights to the daleks i believe. I think the bbc compromised with the guy on the grounds that the daleks will appear atleast once every new series.

I don't have a problem with the Daleks as enemies, in fact it's always a joy to see them pop up. I certainly don't mind seeing them every series.

The problem I had was in relation to this:

It's the way the Daleks always have some sort of ridiculous plan (Which usually results in destroying all of known reality itself) and then they are thwarted, not by their plans being simply ruined,oh no but usually by the Doctor completely obliterating their entire army and leaving one or two to scurry away and act as an excuse to bring them back next time. Then of course there are the contrived reasons for them creating another huge Dalek army next time around. This seems to be a new series thing, this never happened in the original series. The Daleks always seemed to be a constant threat, whereas the new series made them follow this structure:

1) The Doctor believes the Daleks have gone and the universe is safe from them.
2) Oh no they found a way to come back! En Mass!
3) Yay! The Doctor has reduced all of them to tiny pieces! Every last one.

Rinse and repeat!

Yeah I kinda hated the whole "Dalek Army" thing that RTD had going, that's my stereotype choice! Although to be fair my favourite Dalek story is the very first of the first new series, simply titled "Dalek". It showed the sheer power and discrimination of one Dalek unit alone and was more effective for it.

The so-called badass main characters:

Videogame's B-movie action star.

One liner machine. Self absorbed jerk.

Whiney idiot who tries to make up for it by carrying a giant weapon

Ugh......................sorry.

Never played a game with Drake in it so can't comment.

Nero - yes. Yes yes yes yes YES! Ttypical emo-ish JRPG massive sword teenagery-type character based on what Japanese designers THINK the Westerners like. Turns out into a whiny tosser. It's quite a staple - like the bloke who replaced Solid Snake for a game or so (Raiden? Ryden? Something like that...)

Dante I would have to disagree. He's got some cliched lines, but he's got so many different aspects of common stereotypes that he just doesn't adhere to any of them. He's charismatic, funny and cool whilst looking like the predictable byproduct of a Western influenced JRPG. I think he deserves Man Points for that at least. For being something a bit different.

I HATED Transformers 2 because of, among many other reasons, the fucking twins. Skid and Mudflap, kiss it.
