Wait...is the question about what character wields a sword the worst way? Or is it about the character we hate the most who happens to wield a sword?

King Arthur.
(You never said it had to be a video game character.)
But when it comes to video game characters, you're completely wrong on that point.

Raiden.

We got deprived of the gruff beardy one for most of a game because of him! The entire development staff of MGS 2 should be taken out and flogged for that one, Kojima should be flogged twice!
I agree, although as lame Raiden was, I liked using the right joystick for waving around the sword. It actually kinda felt like using a real sword (....or maybe not).

Definitely shatterstar. He's everything wrong with the 90's condensed into one character.

No I don't know where his other hand is.

My favorite part is when he says he won't kill anyone so he chops someone's hand off, knocks them out, and leaves him in the middle of nowhere without medical attention.

I haven't seen that much of Fate/Stay Night, but there's a bunch of characters that are supposed to be legendary warriors from throughout history, except their original identities are closely-guarded secrets. I assume it's relevant because Saber turns out to be King Arthur, or something along those lines.

I've never heard of that game. I'll look into.
My real question is if if thats a picture of Saber and Saber is suppose to be King Arthur then why is Saber a girl!? Did King Arthur disguise himself as a girl? Thats seriously Weird!
I must look into this game! (Or anime. You weren't very specific.)

Well, it's an anime, but I think it was based on a visual novel, which... Might count as a game? I don't know. I'm only guessing that Saber's King Arthur, by what NeutralDrow said, too. Maybe the idea is that King Arthur pretended to be a man, or it was a misinterpretation of history, or... Something. I hear good things, it's probably worth looking into, if you like fighting anime.

Game. There's an anime, too, but it's nowhere near as good. Then again, if you're not into Visual Novels (even really, really good ones like FSN), you might prefer the anime.

In the game, King Arthur, the one who pulled the sword from the stone, was a girl. Mostly through Merlin's efforts, everyone just assumed she was a really effeminate-looking boy king.

any of the streets of rage characters. I mean really, you swing a sword like 3 times and you break it?!? stick to jump kicks and eating food found under barrels and traffic cones ok!

Thank you for elaborating. Is it in English? The first I've heard mention of it was on this forum. I want to play it before I debate the inherent problems with the writer not reading Le Mort D'Arthur.

Cloud Strife. What is he doing? Hitting them with the broad side of his sword? Y'know, when I slash things, there tends to be a cut or a gash. Not to mention that his sword moves all equate the same damage as say...I dunno. Summoning a giant monster that wrecks shit everywhere.

Mirror Moon made a translation patch for it.

I rather doubt the author reading Mallory would have made a difference, since the game is in <url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NasuVerse>its own universe, and subject to its own creative liberties. That's probably the biggest liberty they take with mythology/legend, but it's not the only one.
