Hm. Now that's odd. The same thing basically happened here and I never heard anything about it ever afterwards. My school is northern, in Leeds. To see if my interesting social experiment works, is your school northern or southern, in a busy or deserted area?Cpt_Oblivious said:
Some sort of drug was found at our school. I don't remeber which drug, I think it was Marijuana but I can't be sure.

Not a lot has happened, one of my mates got beaten into a near dead state but he's ok now. A few retards got caught taking drugs and stuff. There was one very funny incident where some guys took my friends bag and had a wank into his lunch. He opened his bag first lesson and had a bit of a nasty surprise waiting for him.
A girl died at school. Don't know how or why, it was ages before I went there.
However, when I was going to the school, in the course of 3 years, 2 people were airlifted from sports related injuries, one teacher went mad and had a breakdown, some guy threw a chair at a teacher, hit him in the head.

In sixth grade I accidentally cut myself with a pair of scissors pretty badly. It was gushing blood, I kid you not. So I went up to the teacher and asked for a bandage. Without even looking at the large amount of blood I was having trouble keeping in check, she told me to go wash my hands. It wasn't a scrape, you *****! I never even got the bandage when I got back.
Well OK that's the worst thing that's happened to me, personally. I never liked that teacher anyway.
But last year, a kid died. A rumor floated around that it had been suicide, but it was later found out that he and another kid were playing 'the pass-out game' and the kid who died obviously lost. The other kid was promptly expelled.

Freshman year one of the coolest teachers in the school was falsely accused of sex with a student. It never went to trial cause the girl fessed up to it being a fraudulent claim, but the teacher obvious decided to not come back to teach.
Two of my friends died. One in freshmen year, he died from injuries in a house fire. Another was hit by an intoxicated driver while walking with his uncle on the side of the road. I think that was either towards the end of junior or the beginning of senior year.
We had a hitlist day, i think it was sophomore year. girl wrote a hitlist with very vague targets on it. One was a first and last name, the rest were either first names or just types of students like "goths" or "jocks".
Two hurricanes, freshman and senior year. The first kept us out of school for two weeks which would have been nice if I could have afforded to leave the fucking area. Two weeks of temperatures over 90 degrees Fahrenheit, nice. Then the power finally came back on but no cable for a little over a month. But it was one of the only times I was thankful to have dial-up.
Second hurricane was worse but we were back within a week. I had power, cable and broadband internet back within three or fours days after the hurricane hit.
Junior year we had an actual lockdown on day after a kid went nuts and no-one could find him. Turns out he left campus and his father had to call and say he was at home.
Senior year I almost had several nervous breakdowns. And my mom had a heart attack.
Then after we all graduated one of the football players died in a motorcycle wreak almost two months after graduation.
Then in-between all that we had the normal fights and kids getting arrested for pulling knives on each other and drug possession.
Edit: Also there were some drunken vehicle roll overs and girls got pregnant.

I'd say a combination of local news needing stories and the BBC not needing interpreters to translate the local patois (seriously, people up here complain about the pronunciation of "bath" as "barf", whilst they pronounce the word "no" as "nor") culminates in national news.Cpt_Oblivious said:
When I was Primary School, we had this one constantly violent kid who would just lash out at the minorest of things. He got expelled in 2nd grade for throwing a thermos at another student, biting one teacher and punching a second teacher in the stomach while she was pregnent.
The most recent thing though happened when I was a freshmen in secondary school. A kid got killed in a drive-by and there were mutiple threats of a school shooting. Kids die every year at my school (At least one to two deaths per year), but that one was diffrent becuase it was murder and all the others are caused by simple accidents caused by car crashes or other accidental deaths.

well there was a threat by someone who said would make somesort of school shooting (which was fake, tured out that the person had an exam and hadn't learnd so he/she made it up...) and some guy tryied to jump from the roof of the school -.-'
Hmm... Some assholes put confederate flags on their cars and went around insulting black students, i think that made state news, 2 8th graders were caught shagging in the bathroom(apparently a teacher walked in, let them finish, and then shouted "PUT YOUR PANTS ON!"), And the student council ordered Shot Glasses as party favors for Prom... That made international news. I believe thats it.
