It was a UN "Safe Zone" where 5,000 Bosniaks were killed during the break up of Yugoslavia, somewhat redefining what we thought "safe" to mean. A battalion of Dutch troops were deployed there at the time and didn't stop the Bosnian-Serb forces. Quite how they were expected to stop Bosnian-Serb forces in the range of division strength with armour and artillery support when the Dutch were denied air and artillery support and were only equipped with light weapons (don't forget, this was a UN mission so they can't appear too "agressive") I don't know. But anyway, the Dutch didn't offer a great deal of resistance, a couple of them were killed by the Bosniaks, who started throwing grenades at them and the battalion commander was photographed having a drink with the Bosnian-Serb commander. Bit of a PR disaster for the Dutch really.henritje said:no what is that?mishagale said:Ever been to Srebrenica?henritje said:yes but I dont see how holland can do bad stuff except making a pot bomb
Anyway, yes, I would play a game where the British/English are the bad guys. We get it in Film often enough and it does turn up now and again in games and I don't have a problem with it. To be honest, at this stage its a running joke more than anything else.

Besides, if we were playing a historicaly accurate game about our War of Independence, it would be impossible for us to be the bad guys, everyone knows the British were. Ooh, controversy.
Besides, if I did play a game like that the Mrs would lynch me for being a "traitor"
Note: I have nothing against British people, just their 700 years of oppression.
