I've kick the ass of the Dutch in civilization IV dozens of times no problem, it's fun to burn your own counties cities to the ground.

Secondly, I come from Australia. The idea of an Australia so large and powerful that it's the major bad guy in a war is kind of awesome.

Hey, I'm an American, so I'd be a nice change of pace!

It's not like video games are exclusive to this phenomenon, movies and such also have this kind of thing going on. If you can watch a movie with your side as the villian, I'm sure you can play a game like it as well.

Generaly in WW2 games and i have an option to choose whome i fight for, i usualy pick germany.

In my opinion, any game where you fight "terrorism" you are playing the bad guy. Any game where american's invade iraq and you play an american, you are playing the bad guy.

F.3.A.R (fear 3) you get to play as paxton fettel. He is one bad ass bad guy.

This but typically they get shit weapons and Datsun pickup trucks as vehicles.

I'm also Australian and would be amused by a game where Australians attempt world domination etc. I mean "chuck another shrimp on the barbie!" is clearly code for something and there could be propaganda posters saying something along the lines of "Join a little ripper of a world crusade! Where the bloody hell are you?"

Well im half English and half Austrian, meaning one grandad fought for the allies and the other for the Nazis in WWII [just to clarify, he was forced to do so], meaning in WW2 games i always fight the enemy haha.
Big fan of Company of Heroes, Where i can play as the British and Germans.

I never really worry about it, its just a game at the end of the day.

Yes, Canada would make a sick location to fight in. As stated before, as long as it's not just the entire country's evil (though maybe in a Canadian Bacon kind of way.)

Also, eh's would need to be more common than I's and enemy soldiers would have to loudly talk about last night's hockey game using lots of aboot's.

I can hear the enemy taunts and interactions in my head already.. and it's glorious.
