Once in my youth [why do you sound like an old person?] don't interrupt me subtitles [Sorry]
Anyway, a long time ago [in a galaxy far, far away] I saw this one commercial advertising [which is pretty much what commercials do] for a gaming company. For five minutes they described a life in gaming and never in my life have I found the subject so boring. The interesting thing about it was that it only depicted ONE of the many jobs in video gaming [many?] and it was testing video game prototypes. The theory intrigued me when the commercial said ?You can get PAID to PLAY video games!? [funny how they never tell you HOW much you get paid]. ?Wow? I?d say to myself, ?I could get paid to play video games?? but then Xplay would come back on and I?d completely forget about it [ladies and gentlemen, the American attention span!]
Now around five years later [he?s been counting!] the idea came back to me when I was puzzling the idea of reviewers. What if the game you?re being paid to play isn?t really good? What if it?s horrible? What if it?s the worst game ever!? Do you think you can make it through the entire game and accept the pay check? Or do you punch the developers face and yell ?What is wrong with you!???
And so now I ask you [ME!?] not you, them. [Oh?]
Would you play a horrible video game if you were getting paid to do it? [For only $10-20 an hour?]
