Would you want a Katana?

My grandpa has a few souvenir katanas from WWII when he was stationed in the pacific that I want, but that's it. I only want those because of the history and family value behind them, not because they're katanas.
No you come across as knowledgable I still have no idea how people can think they know better than centuries of warriors using weapons that clearly did their job, weapons were tested against the enemies of their users, who cares how the viking armies of the 790's would have fared against the cavalry heavy forces of Henry the VIII in the early 1500's it certainly bares no realtion to the fighting effectivness of either force.Major Tom said:

Oh and as a side note for trivia, the Dreamcast was originally called the "Katana". Might have sold a bit better if it kept that kickass name
