That whole section at the beginning where it shows them using rams to hammer in his armor is awesome!

I REALY cannot wait to play the thousand needles after it's flooded, i mean that was already a cool area, but after it's flooded you'll be able to experience an entire new level to the area, Swimming around those thousand foot pillars, fighting monsters in the deep sounds like a very cool scene to me.

I think it's meh. Deathing doesn't do a whole lot other than fly around all "HEY GUIZ LEWK AT MEH!"

This is such utter meh'ness... It's making me sad.

Cool eye candy though.
Whaaaaaaaaaat?

I mean, let's be honest here. We watch their videos for the eye candy (and the awesome cinematography, but that falls under "eye candy"), and this was awesome eye candy.

Much better than Classic/BC intros, IMO. Not sure if I like it as much as the WotLK one.
Funk, I'mma let you finish, but the Classic intro was the best intro every made.
Everything Classic is so very overrated. :p
I agree. Everything Classic is overrated. WoW is much better now than it was back in Vanilla.

Except for the cinematics. I will admit, however, that this cinematic filled me with much more dread than the WotLK one did; that cinematic really didn't do much for me.

What does Bobby Kotick have to do with the CGI cutscenes that Blizzard has done in-house for everyone of its games since the early days of Warcraft?
Umm, didn't the Escapist recently run an article talking about how Mr. Kotick wanted to bundle the Starcraft 2 CGI cutscenes together and sell them? That's what I was getting at.

After reading the article and then watching the video I was a little disappointed. Sure it looked nice, but there wasn't much there. I expected to see more of Azeroth burning, the landmasses changing and its immediate consequences. The bits that were there were amazing (thousand needles flooding, the dam breaking etc), unfortunately there just wasn't enough!

Oh man, I thought the music was great - especially the bit at ~1:45 which is essentially that iconic "entering Stormwind" theme, just in a darker, corrupted rearrangement. Which... fits nicely with what's going on.
Oh I didn't know bout the Theme. I was to busy with awing at it. ._.
I personaly thought it was pretty awsome. Specialy seeing like the Goblin statue at BB, the Zeplin, and all that.
Though honestly, if you wanna talk bout quotes, best one in my opinion was the end of the Fall of the Lich King trailer. "Let them come....Frostmourne Hungers...*epic vocal bit*"

Is it wrong that all I heard in my head while watching this was Ignis the Furnace master yelling:

"BUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRN in the righteous fiiiiree."

...I play too much WoW.

eh....

does WOW count towards the warcraft canon? if so I'm not going to bother with WarCraft 4 (the RTS) when it comes out in.....when? oh yea 2013.
Considering the canon is entirely made by Deathwi-..ekhem, Metzen, yes and no. He can retcon anything anytime (look: Draenei), but i guess whatever is killed in WoW is dead in Warcraft's universe.
Unless they're brought back three expansions later.

Lookin' at you, Onyxia and Nefarian...
In cannon I thought they just raised Onyxia's level to 80 they didn't really bring her back.

...I think you need to go read some Cataclysm previews. It's worse. Much worse.

Yes, it's a shame that there's no "You are not prepared!" or "You... will be king" quote, which is why I'm tentatively slotting it below the WotLK cinematic. But visually, it's stunning imo.
The chills I got from the WotLK cinematic had nothing to do with the temperature - the old king's words were haunting and fit the atmosphere perfectly. And this?

Well. This really has the "epic" feel. I recognized the Stormwind music, saw the very act of Deathwing breaking loose ruin swaths of the planet. This is just what the guy does when he wakes up.

Like I said, ironic parallel. Fuckin' A.

The more I watch it, the more I like this cinematic. It's showing off Deathwing being DEATHWING, FORCE OF NATURE! What's not to like?

Maybe he wouldn't be so angry if he had some morphine..
That would be A LOT of morphine. . . . although speaking as someone who has been on morphine before, it would definately do wonders for his demeanor. I had a leg broken in multiple places and it turned my frown upside down.

Damn. That was... pretty awesome. Hopefully my brother buys it so don't have to, but I might start playing WoW again. For a little while. Then I'll get bored and do something else.

My only complaint is that I wish it was longer. Was fucking cool to see Barrens breaking apart, Thousand Needles flooding and and stormwind getting raped.
