Aye the KFC at my place is heaps shit. The food is cold, the chips are always either soggy or raw, and the burgers chicken is just heaps small and tasteless.

In Aus, every KFC is staffed by people that appear to want to kill themselves. It is stark contrast to the other fastfood chains where the staff are at least happy (enouhg).

My local KFC is crap even by KFC's standards. I used to love KFC, I hate it now too. I don't think KFC in general has gotten worse, I think my taste in food has matured.

Then again, I'm always a sucker for Hungry Jack's.

EDIT: Oh, and KFC is killer expensive now too. Seriously, it's bloody ridiculous.

Well when I went to a BK in Maritnqe (SP i know, not sure how to spell it. The french colony island!) It rally seemed like they cooked the food as opposed to the microwave they do everywhere else. However, the type of food just dosnt taste as good without the grease.

I wanted to try the Double Down (ironically, of course) so I went to my local KFC. I used to like KFC a lot, then I moved somewhere that didn't have one, then I recently moved again to a place that does. So this was the first time I had eaten at this particular KFC.

The sandwich was god-awful. The chicken had no breading, it tasted bitter and tough, the fries were burnt, and all the ingredients just seemed cheap. The quantity wasn't fantastic either for its price. I would chalk it up to a bad economy, but Popeye's offers more food for the same price and it's actually good. Of course, there's no Popeye's within 50 miles so I am chickenless for the time being. Which I guess is good for my overall health...

So my question is, has anybody else experienced the same thing? Has KFC initiated this franchise-wide program to cut costs as much as possible while keeping their prices the same, or is my local KFC just incompetent?
Yeah it's definitely just your KFC

their are many posts in this topic that discribe things about KFC i have never experienced eating there like burnt fries and dry chicken (the chicken is always tender all the time) maybe cause i live in the uk and the food standards are much higher than america or something (like different persevatives, better staff training, different methods, better quality chicken) i dunno.

Question - When you found that you were dissatisfied with the quality of your food did you complain?

I guarantee that if I buy fast food I open the paper bag they hand me and check everything is hot and looks OK and if it doesn't then back it goes (this is why I don't use drive thru...kitchen spaces in KFC are open to view if you are inside the shop. I never complain about food if I can't see the preparation area).

Thing is, you could walk in to your local supermarket and buy some pretty nice fresh or frozen coated chicken, take it home and cook it yourself and pay a lot less. If I pay a premium for someone else to cook food for me it had better be right or replaced or refunded.

And yes, right now I could go for a spicy zinger tower burger (which they probably don't do any more) and some popcorn chicken. And maybe some coleslaw. And some corn. And fries. Fifty percent of my household have been known to scarf their way through a whole bucket all by themselves if given the chance (I don't eat chicken on the bone...so have never attempted that feat).

I havent heard much good news from American fast food chains. Mostly i hear that its more about quantity, not necessarily taste (my sis went over there recently and said Maccas and KFC in particular taste better over here).
I actually work at KFC in Sydney, and I really like it. Most of the stuff is pretty good, apart from chips and nuggets. Theyre just hopeless.

So maybe its just your KFC that has badly breaded chicken and stuff, but the only way you can get good chips is if you get them in a rush, or ask for fresh ones.

PS Guiness tastes 20 times better over in Ireland.

KFC in Poland kicks ass, my second favorite fast food after Subway.

It's probably just your KFC has some really godawful people responsible for cooking.

One thing about KFC which I am not happy about is that here in Japan, you pay the same price for a meal as in any other country but you only get about eight chips, and I MEAN that literally! I went there recently expecting a good ol' KFC "box o' chips" and I got a small paper bag with less than ten chips in it. I should have just flicked my 700 yen at passing cars! I would have gotten a better meal in the clink!

Pros and cons of the Double Down

Pro 1: If the Double Down does well enough, KFC will make a successor.

Con 1: It's called the Triple Bypass.

Pro 2: There is a paper wrapping to hold the sandwich easier.

Con 2: It's the only nutritional part of the fucking thing.

Pro 3: It's mouth watering.

Con 3: It's anus watering.

Pro 4: It contains the colonel's special sauce.

Con 4: If you know what I mean.

Pro 5: The nutritional facts are posted online.

Con 5: Oh, like you give a shit!

Pro 6: There's nothing stopping you from getting one right now!

Con 6: Other than common sense, of course.

Pro 7: It's called the Double Down.

Con 7: Cause you're gambling with your health.

Cookies to whoever knows where that's from.
