Of course, there's no Popeye's within 50 miles so I am chickenless for the time being. Which I guess is good for my overall health...
I like junk food myself but here is a dirt simple chicken recipie which is tastier than kfc:

One dessert spoon of mustard powder
Two dessert spoons of plain flour
5 or 6 dessert spoons of soy sauce

Mix into a paste.

Dip 12 chicken wings in paste then place on a lightly oiled oven tray.
Place in oven for 20 minutes at 180C/350F

You could boils some corn on the cob while they're in the oven.

Enjoy and marvel at the taste and incredibly low cost, fat and salt content.

They just wont let you get a family bucket full of popcorn chicken. But at least we tried.
Yeah i tried that too :) It would be awesome at the cinema

KFC! We need buckets of popcorn chicken!
Is there a theater that lets you bring in food? Or do you have a really big trench coat?
I don't know if this is worldwide, but where I live, theatres aren't allowed to stop you from bringing in food, they don't like it, but they aren't allowed to throw you out because of it. Only restaurants(places that make over half their revenue from food(i believe thats the proper definition)) can prohibit you from bringing in outside food or drink.

OT: I want to try the doubledown so bad...My KFC is decent last time I went, haven't had a chance to go recently though

The chicken bits down at the nearest KFC have been... funny to say the least. Gristly, weirdly damp... stuff like that.

What do you mean by dessert spoon? Is that like a tablespoon? That doesn't seem like enough paste for 12 wings.

In britain the KFC's are fantastic.... but still a rip off on price.

I hope the double down comes here. They'd be campagning outside a KFC and id walk out with 4 of them :D
Yeah have to agree the KFC here in the UK is good, maybe its just your local having an off day.

A dessert spoon is about half a tablespoon so no its not very much paste, you just want a very thin coating. The flavour is mostly coming from the soy sauce though and soy sauce has a very strong intrinsic flavour so you don't need much. The flour is really just a thickening agent so don't use too much of that either! And the mustard powder is really just to add an extra zing.

The other thing to remember is when you roast chicken it has a stronger flavour than deep frying most particularly the skin tends to crisp up in a more flavoursome way and with a lot less fat.

I love KFC. It's everything that is wrong about animal rights and capitalism but everything that is right about fried chicken! That being said, their chips are always pretty damn poor....

I think that happens to alot of places. Once it first opens it's great, but shortly after they start going downhill. It's from what I experienced anyway.

A KFC made me ill a couple of years ago and I haven't eaten another since. Saying that, unless it's fish/chips or a kebab after a night out (Flames mixed Kebab hits the spot sooo well when drunk) I avoid fast food, reasoning when I go out, why waste £5 on food which is not only £5 less on alcohol, but also helps soak up the alcohol meaning you don't get as drunk...the logic doesn't work.

There's two within about 20 minutes of me and they're both fine. Unless I save the KFC 'til I get home, then it's pretty bad...

KFC around here are generally discussed with racist things.

On topic, KFC here is fantastic. Fantastic. Don't really know about the pricing.
how can a kfc be related to racism?
In NZ, it is. I can't say why though. I don't want to.

One thing I've learned about KFC is that it's overpriced, low-quality crap masquerading as fried chicken. I can go up the street to my local Raley's, get 8 pieces of fried chicken at the service deli for $5.99, take it home, stash it in the fridge, and have something truly awesome the next morning for breakfast.

Try that with KFC and what you're left with is a soggy greaseball stuck on some plywood pretending to be meat.

I had KFC about a month ago after not having it for about a year or two.And boy. Was it disgusting. Now I don't know if it's just the place by me or something but man they just aren't as good as I remember. Really Expensive too. Oh and the cashier screwed me out of my meal. "We can take out the biscuit but leave the side." Get home, open the bag. A fucking biscuit and no side. I hate high school students.

The KFC's quality all depends on the KFC. I once went to 2 KFCs in a day(don't ask) and one of them was amazing, the other was complete shit... Also, I still need to try the Double Down.

KFC sucks. The way they treat the chickens is just terrible. After learning about their methods I've decided to boycott them until they stop abusing animals.

KFC is yankee chicken. I'm a Bojangles man.
Fair enough, but you have yet to reach the enlightenment of Chick-fil-a, my friend.
That's still yankee chicken since its gone national. The best chicken I've ever had were from the local Bojangles that's in the ghetto of my town - besides my grandma's of course.
