Not a big fan of KFC, I'm more a McDonalds kind of guy... I love me a double quarter pounder meal every now and then :D

Of course afterward I feel guilty and starve myself for a week. But damn it's worth it for the taste.

Is it really called a Double Down or just another way to say Artery Clogger?

I think KFC is a good place to eat from time to time, but that sandwich looks and sounds like a health inspector's worst nightmare. Though it does look something to try out at least once.

I wish Colonel Sanders was still around.
He'd be a General now.

Also, just you dude. Local KFC is amazing. Often go with flatmates, 4 12pc Deluxe Boneless boxes between two of us and enough gravy to drown an infant.

PS Guiness tastes 20 times better over in Ireland.
That wouldn't surprise me. Guinness in America is basically tap water. Our Heineken is awesome, but it's actually imported from the Netherlands.

I want to try the double down but I keep hearing how bad it tastes. I do love Popeyes more though. If only for their biscuits, fries and nuggets(sometimes chicken tenders). KFC has better regular chicken IMO

I haven't eaten at my local KFC since a friend's girlfriend told me she'd seen a roach in the drink lids. Roaches are the kiss of death for me concerning restaurants; if I see so much as one, I boycott the place. There's a Chinese buffet I stopped frequenting here, too, because I found a live baby roach at the buffet table!

The foods fine, it's trying to get the damn till jockeys to understand what I'm ordering that's the problem.

Seriously, in my local KFC, there are no workers who have English as a first language, not one.

KFC seems to be different every time i eat out of it. IT goes up and down.

Unfortunatly the gravey seems to be increasingly thinner each time i go.

Colonel Sanders would be rolling in his grave if he knew what people were doing with his franchise today. That man was serious about his cooking.
The don't even use the eleven secret herbs and spices that made his chicken so famous anymore.

Man, Escapist threads make me feel old. "KFC" has been garbage for like 12-15 years. It turned crappy right around the time PepsiCo bought them. Coincidence?..... They actually used to bread and fry the chicken in the stores. You didn't get your chicken in 5 minutes but it also didn't taste like a piece of greasy slag.

I wanted to try the Double Down (ironically, of course) so I went to my local KFC. I used to like KFC a lot, then I moved somewhere that didn't have one, then I recently moved again to a place that does. So this was the first time I had eaten at this particular KFC.

The sandwich was god-awful. The chicken had no breading, it tasted bitter and tough, the fries were burnt, and all the ingredients just seemed cheap. The quantity wasn't fantastic either for its price. I would chalk it up to a bad economy, but Popeye's offers more food for the same price and it's actually good. Of course, there's no Popeye's within 50 miles so I am chickenless for the time being. Which I guess is good for my overall health...

So my question is, has anybody else experienced the same thing? Has KFC initiated this franchise-wide program to cut costs as much as possible while keeping their prices the same, or is my local KFC just incompetent?
LOL you can't go downhill unless you at least got some way up it.

My KFC (in Lancaster, UK) isn't to bad but it really concerns me that when i get a bargain bucket they vanish into the back to get the chicken rather than getting it from the chicken which we can all see, that everyone else gets :/

Other than that though. KFC rocks!! :D
