People dressing up as Twilight characters and role playing their way into the cinema. The amount of women fawning over the sole dude attending as Edward Cullen was pathetic.

TL;DR Twihards
I seen a guy attending the Dark Knight dressed as Batman, this man was in his 40s.

OT: Dungeons and Dragons.

...he's the goddamn batman, show some respect! :p kidding, it's a little sad but remember that batman has been around long enough for people that age to have been life long fans of him, so cut some slack. For me, the LARPing, DnD, WoW and cosplay get me, the rest i'll try once, twice if i like it and alot if i love it, i'm that kind of open minded nerd.

Magic seems just boring, I'd try it if I liked it though. LARPing is not too nerdy but a bit too ridiculous for me. If I wanted to dress up as a knight I'd definitely use real weapons, not foam.

But yeah, I don't like to say "too nerdy", that's like saying "too good". If I enjoy it I do it, if it's boring I don't.

Well, I recently tried to play warhammer, after putting off painting for months (i found out I fucking hate it). Played with one of those *really* over-enthusiastic guys at games workshop.

It was really really fucking boring and awkward.

So I guess i found out I'm not that nerdy, though I also found out I'm damn lazy as I still haven't thrown out the crap i bought from GW.

Maybe trying to fool myself that it wasn't a massive waste of money...

(I'm not saying the hobby is crap for those that enjoy it, if you enjoy it then go right ahead and good for you. I however didn't and so all this stuff thats sitting on a table right next to my computer is just plastic/metallic waste of space).

I cant throw it all out as that would be admitting the waste of money, so i'll just have to find a place to put all of it out of sight :p.
I actually enjoy warhammer, but I agree about the people they hire to work in the stores. What warhammer army I will probably take it off your hands as I know people who want in on the game. *snip*
To be fair, I think those guys are instructed to behave like that. It's good to have a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, but they do see to be forcing it, and they always attempt to pressure you into buying stuff. I think it's a patronising company policy to blame here.

On topic, LARPing, cosplay and anime in general are all too nerdy for me. And Twishite/Twishite levels of fandom.

I don't exactly have any limits on the nerdy stuff I'd do, save for two thing. Money, and half-arsedness. Basically, I can't afford to do a lot of stuff (like Warhammer 40k, which I absolutely love, or building my own gaming rig, which I do want to do), and I can't be bothered to do anything else (like cosplay or whatever). Otherwise, I'd be up for all that. Hell, I'm planning to join the Assassin's Guild (LARPing) at my university next year, after missing my chance this year and not knowing of it last year. Should be fun, anyway, not to mention it'll allow me to put my twin skills of stealth and paranoia to good use ;D...

Oh please. "Too Nerdy"? Here?
Ten year old calling the nine year old "Shrimp". Actually, screw that.
Ten year old calling the ten year old "Fecking small", because I don't really see any way to scale "Nerdiness", other than a subjective, self imposed scale with here as the median value.
Anyway, I'm firmly at the bottom, with cosplaying, LARPing and pokemon usually occuring all at once.

Used to D&D in high school, used to also play warhammer 40k....but that was 10 years ago and a lot of the guys i used to do that with still do the same things... i dont think the activities themselves are too nerdy, but the inability to move on and try new things is a little ...upsetting.

I like tabletop, I like LARPing, I like cosplay, I love bedsheets with anime characters on it.

Nothing is too nerdy for me!

Besides, I play Magic: The Gathering.

I used to shun Magic, not for being nerdy, but because I was on Pokemon's side of the Pokemon/Magic/Yu-gi-Og! debate. I eventually got into it, and I loved it. I've decided not to shun nerdy activities, such as LARPing and DnD. LARPing is hard to organize, but I'm trying to get into Dungeons and Dragons now. I've designed characters and played a couple games, but I've yet to have a fun, long campaign.

Still, fuck Yu-gi-Oh!
