]Hello shitty graphics and bad motion-sensing implementations.
It's gonna be RE4 Wii with moving AND shooting.
And *Gasp* in SPACE! Actually, RE4 Wii was pretty fun...hopefully EA tries to notch up the graphics a bit...the Wii can actually looks pretty (Galaxy)
Hell, I'm all for this. All I could think while playing the RE5 demo is "Man this would be more fun if I was using the Wiimote"

Now to Qoute ZP: "If only there was an attachment that would fix the motion sensing controls.. Ahh but there I go again, dreaming"

I think it's great news that Dead Space is coming to the Wii. I'm totally going to check it out. I'm having a hard time understanding why so many people here think it's a bad idea. Sure, it probably won't look as good as on the other systems, but since when were graphics the sole determiner of what makes a game good? There definitely is a tone of "If it's on the Wii, it automatically sucks" here which frankly is disappointing.
I'll tell you what: You go ahead and play Dead Space on your system and I'll play it on mine. Deal?

My buddy told me about this. But I didn't believe him. So I looked it up for myself and sure enough, there it was: Dead Space Will make its debut on the Wii in Q3. I think this game will be a great addition to Wii's library. So what if Wii's graphics aren't as superb as those of its competitors? If EA can fashion a game similar to what High Voltage is trying to achieve with The Conduit and its Wii-specific Quantum3 engine, I think it will be a success, as the graphics for The Conduit are beautiful and unprecedented on the Wii. Being 20 years old, and having several friends whom are 20 and older (all with Wiis, mind you), I know there is surely a mature audience out there that would be delighted to experience Dead Space on the Wii. Additionally, according to Joystiq's article, EA plans to implement the Wii Motion Plus peripheral for precise and responsive controls. Hopefully they can keep their promise and bring to the Wii a fun and scary version of Dead Space, even if the graphics aren't perfect.

This is the same as the Killzone 2 thread.

The people who seem to care the most don't even own a bloody Wii. Sad people.

played dead space on 360 at my friends house, found many things about it frustrating swapped it out with fable 2 and continued to play a game i had already beaten

and it is odd how many people say it is a horrible idea as if it will come to their house and kick them in the nuts

Does anyone actually remember when console wars were fun? When you and your mates would debate the merits of the consoles, and then both enjoy what you have while at the same time enjoying the other guys choice as well? Good times. .
Lies. That never happened. =P Seriously at my school (primary mind you) all the kids were PS vs N64. I myself remain the same, I am indifferent to the wars. I have a360 because it happened to have the most games that interested me, and I like the controller better than the PS3.

the most technically perfect game since Super Mario World......think about that. and dead space was crap. no nice graphics, no intuitive or creative gameplay, crap suvival horror that has been done before...better.
No nice graphics?? What about the bosses? And the room with the giant meteor? And the level with all the plants? And the zero grav tunnel in the last level? And the gigantic thruster drives that you fire mini meteors into?? And the fantastic character models?

I found the shooting mechanics to be extremely intuitive and satisfying, and if using mining equipment for strategic limb amputation isn't creative gameplay I dunno what is.

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition worked out well, so I give this project a 50% chance of turning out well. Unfortunately, this product is irrelevant for multi-console owners, as Dead Space is already highly available.

If they don't royally fuck it up like Nintendo always does and probably will do it could be a good game.
