Hmm i dunno...the ps3 and xbox are kinda balanced game wise now...

Although i think that the current xbox life expectancy might be reaching its end, Its hardware is getting iffy. (Hold there fanboys, no need to reply i don't care.)

I would either wait it out and buy whatever Micro$oft plans to do to save their console or go with a ps3.
What the hell do you mean, I couldn't name 20 PS3 games, yet I could easily name 20 big blockbuster hits for the 360.

AND I OWN BOTH CONSOLES
Your fault. I'll educate you.

Ps3 games list [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_3_games]

Xbox games list [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_games]

Xbox does have more games. But quality wise? It's definitely balanced.
How so? most of the best games are on both consoles, and with the Xbox holding Mass Effect, Fable 2, and many others, the PS3 has actually a poor selection when you get to exclusives.

When you eliminate all cross platform games, the PS3 list in less then 1/3 the size, with about 1/5 the quality of games.

I haven't even touched my PS3 in weeks, will once I grab Little Big Planet, however.

I'm a big rpg/fps fan, so Xbox seems ideal especially with all the jrpgs and my undying love of CoD4 ^^
I'm just going to say that I live RPGs, FPSs, and my 360. I hope that helps.

Ps3 = 532 games.

Xbox = 550 games.
What did I say? Take out all cross platform, and might as well take out foreign too.

Now, you're just trolling.

Pick games you like.

For me Super Stardust, Calling All Cars, Eden, Blast Factor, and Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars are the kinds of things that make me glad I have a PS3.

Oh, check the controllers too. I really don't like how 360 controllers feel.

I like the PS3 and it has alot of great games. The only Reason that the Xbox is getting so much good stuff is because its made by Microsoft with the billions of dollars they have lying around

Don't buy a core system unless you plan on never using LIVE. I've not had any problems with RROD, err nice wide range of games, though a lot seem to be a tad buggy before they release a patch for it *looks in fable 2's direction*.

Anyway, get a 60gb new version, you won't regret it!

Playstation Exclusives (Worth Playing):
Gran Turismo
God of War
Little Big Planet
Metal Gear Solid
Ratchet & Clank
Resistance
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Xbox Exclusives (Worth Playing):
Blue Dragon
Fable II
Forza
Gears of War
Halo
Infinite Undiscovery
Lost Odyssey
Ninja Gaiden II
Star Ocean
Tales of Vesperia
Too Human

I may have missed one or two, but when making the choice that's your best comparison then after that compare what else you get with the systems. Xbox has a much better online setup which will only get a lot better with the new release coming out soon, and Playstation has a Blu-Ray player. I own all 3 platforms and my playtime is distributed pretty much 90% Xbox, 9% Wii, and 1% PS3. Take that for what you will, I'm pretty sold on the 360 after being a huge fan of the PS2.

I tried to come up the most general worth playing list trying to encompass all genres. If you want pure numbers here.

PS3 Exclusives: 93 (+/- a few due to counting errors)
Xbox Exclusives: 159 (According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_exclusives which has the disclaimer that it may be out of date)

I've told you my opinion on the systems, and I know not everyone is going to agree. Trying to give as objective a look as possible for the OP.

Okay, add about... a thousand to 360 then, original xbox + arcade.

If only the PS3 could play 1% of the ps2 games....

Games are games. Be it Barbie Horse Adventures or GUN DEATH AND GORE 13.

They both do the same thing, waste time.

Mass Effect - how could you leave this out?

Since you already have a Wii, I see no reason not to get a 360. And saying the 360 is near the end of it's phase is like saying Obama is a secret muslim.

PS: They're making a Dark Cloud 3? Thats the RPG where you build your own weapons out of junk, right?

...Oh man, I have a stiffy now, Dark Cloud 2 was the last RPG I liked (felt like the exploration levels dragged onnnnnnn though)
