(To get one thing straight, this is not a troll or flaming thread)

I myself am a PS3 owner, my brother had a 360 and i use to play with him on it or maybe with friends, but still i played it quite often.

I believe the PS3 to be better in almost every aspect, free internet, graphics that make you want to "jizz in your pants" (im not TO fused about graphics, but in some cases it makes a game good as an added feature to a good game, it can't be something that a game bases on), a better gaming community, not to mention how much more fun the games are (360 fanboys bang on about how many games there are on the 360 and i reply, well yeah, but how many of them are fun, quality over quantity, dude).

Now here is the point of all this...WHY? Why do 360 players play the 360? The price is cheapter, sure, but if you have online within 2 years your making a loss.

Which leads me to the thing you can't say; People who have the 360 usually get it because there friends have it, and there friend's and the list goes on. You can't say because your friends have it, you can't say because more games and you most certanly can't say internet is better, because its not.

Please leave these forums...not only do you fail to grasp the idea of subjective opinion, but you also created one of worst topics imaginable - one that unfortunately has been done 3 times in recent memory.

Further, your argument lacks credibility as you cannot prove games to be superior. Besides, the PS3 and 360 are exactly the same bar the price and the fact the PS3 has a blu-ray player. Seriously, the similarities are astounding, so feasibly trying to argue one is better than the other is pathetic.

Oh please, this argument has been done so much I'm sure everyone of us knows how it's going to play out, or rather how it would play out, this should be locked before that.

This type of thread has been done before and all it does is start arguments. I suggest that you ask a moderator to lock this thread.

I think a big part of the reason that the PS3 didn't do so well is not because of the product (which is technically superior in almost every way) but rather because Sony screwed up at the launch. Not only was it more expensive, but there just weren't enough games for it. Games would be released for 360 and PC several months before they made their debut on PS3. So people bought 360s.

Go forward a couple years, when the price has dropped to something reasonable and games get released on both consoles, and yes, you're absolutely right. It makes more sense to get a PS3 for a lot of people, except for the fact that they want to get what their friends are getting. I know you said that this reason is null, but I would tend to disagree. It was the main factor in my decision, and for a number of my friends.

So basically, Microsoft established their customer base early on before Sony had a chance. By the time Sony got their act together, it was too late.

It's cheaper, I like ninja gaiden, I like achievements, I like fable, it plays my old xbox games... So yeah....Also I have a blind hatred for playstation after seeing many PS2s get disc read errors. :(

If this is going to be a serious discussion: I prefer the games on the 360 over the PS3's, the controller feels more comfortable, and yes, I think XBox Live is easier to use than the PS3's system, whatever it's called. It's always going to boil down to personal taste, and that's ultimately the only difference between the two.

If this is going to break down into fanboyism: Please leave these forums...

This probably won't end well.
It doesen't matter which console is better! Both are good and offer tons of Entertainment value. Lets stop bickering over inanimate objects and get down to the core of the entertainment: Having a good time.

At least they tried to make it a unique title, this is just so obvious (they still got locked).

I like the one that plays games. You know? The one with the controller and then buttons?

I will say that PS3 is better for media and internet. I mean i can just go on to the internet and to youtube and do a lot of awesome stuff. Also, i can plug in a flash drive and DOWNLOAD (not just PLAY) movies, videos and pictures when i cant on the xbox.

However in my opinion Xbox 360 is better for games and gameplay. I dont know why, and i can't really explain, but i love most of the games that are on the 360 and i like how everything just looks and plays. I also like the feel of the controller a lot more, but that isn't as important.

So its still a hard decision, but i'm gonna go with 360

ALSO!! i have a great wireless connection, but whenever i try to get to playstation network, it times out and it pisses me off. I can't do anything except stay at the menu and download stuff. I can't get onto games and play with other peoeple. But then i go to my xbox and play online without problems.

[EDIT]I forgot......two words: Backwards Compatability.

I'm not going to get caught up in quality of games / online experience / graphics, so I'm just sticking to price.

The most expensive 360 in its lifetime was $400.
The most expensive PS3 in its lifetime was $600, and that was after Sony cut the original price of $250, resulting in a loss of over $2 billion.

In short, the 360 Elite was less than half the cost of the most expensive PS3 at launch.

*sigh* if you don't like this thread so much, just leave, unless you going to contribute, give a worth while answer or correct someone, YOU should leave

Im asking a serious question, and all your doing is putting off people who are trying to answer.

Also, im not a fan boy, i defend something that i like and deserves the respect i give it.

Ummm, im no scientist, but im guessing you've had your PS2 a while, or you have the slim line, and second of all im talking about PS3s, you can judge a console based on its predecesser.

Cool games like the orange box came out for the PC/Xbox 360 first so people bought those. Then, when everyone saw their friends playing TF2, they wanted to join in. The PS3 was also more expensive at the launch

Also, the online is better

In case you haven't read my posts this is a personal question i have pondered, its not fanboy fueled, not fame driven, not even to take the bytes this thread takes.

For all i care, once i have enough answeres this thread can be deleted, i just needed a direct approch to my question, this was the easiest way.
