Score one point towards Gamers. Take that Michael Atkinson and Frumpy Mom. But really this was all just a matter of using common sense against a dumbass.

It's good to see that finally video games saved somebodies life, as opposed to being blamed for somebodies death. (although I bet someone is gonna say the shooter kid was going to do it because of videogames) This article has literally made my day.

Any sane person on the planet would have reported him, regardless of whether or not they play games...
i wouldn't as its not my business and i learned not to stick my nose where it doesn't belong.
So you would let innocent people get murdered because 'its none of your business'???

That's incredibly pathetic... I don't mean to insult you or anything but how would you live with the shame of not doing anything?
because people are attention whores and talk shit on online games all the time. why should i raise the alarm and cost both countries an innumerable amount of money for some 10 year old ass wipe trying to be gangsta?
You couldn't be sure if he/she was joking or not. And even if he was, it would be much better to warn the police and waste their time than to forget about it and find out he had murdered innocent students and teachers on the news. And then you would feel worse because you had a chance to do something but chose not too...

Yay, gamers are shown in a positive light, though anybody looking for gaming controversy will just see the words, Xbox Live, School Shooting

That kid seems like a complete idiot. Oh well, I think its great that gaming got some positive media for once.
Live it up because this is like a comet...you will probably only see it once.

This is a story that won't end up on FOX news!
Haha. This comment made me laugh. After the MassEffect thing...... Well gamers don't really watch FOX anymore. I don't think FOX realizes the amount of viewers they lost. Thumbs up to FOX for making asses out of themselves!!! Jk. Asses are bad.

See? Video games and gamers are not "evil". We're useful to society!

We must now sacrifice the non-believers and 50 virgins to the circuit gods!

no, ill just say "eh, least it aint a place with someone i care about" and that'll be the end of it. at the rate that jackass was shooting off his mouth, if i didnt get him the other players would.
Are you a human being? If so, then you would feel responsible for not doing anything...

Diden't an incident like this happen sometime ago, where sombody on WoW said they were going to commit an act of terrorism? Then it turned out he was just some stupid kid when the FBI caugt him?

Seriously, even if it is the internet, why do people always post evidence to crimes that could get them 8 - 10 years in prison and think "I'm sure this will turn out fine".

Are people actually that stupid?

And if they are, i geuss that extream stupidity helps prevent crimes.

?This incident demonstrates the power of the electronic world and how different enforcement agencies can quickly work together to protect the citizens they serve, regardless of obstacles such as international barriers,? Omilusik said.

Anyone wondering why the gamer wasn't even mentioned in this paragraph?

If only Microsoft would have closed Xbox Online features only. (if the story was about the orignal Xbox, not the 360)
