Agreed.DannyDamage said:Look, all I do is ***** about how shit the film, game and music industries are. Seriously, ALL I do. This isn't because I hate films, games or music. It's because I love them and they're all now seen as nothing more than quick ways to make cash out of idiots.
Yahtzee (from an gaming point) is NOT one of the stupid people who spends £40 on a game because either;
A-It's got realistic graphics and shiny colours
B-The advert on TV told him to, or
C-He feels if he doesn't join in on this week's Xbox Live gang bang, he will be uncool.
At least Yahtzee brings some passion to the table with his reviews\opinion. Something 99% of "critics" and most modern gamers DO NOT. Constructive Criticism is so rare these days. Mags and TV reviews consist of "Best game this year!", although the reviewer has said the same thing about 5 other games this month and is just awaiting his big fat pay cheque. Payola Scandal anyone?
Most gamers today are happy with some tits, a protagonist built like The Rock (because it's better than remembering you're scrawny and weak) and the thing we ALL tried to avoid at school......physics. Easily amused by generic crap but are quick to jump down the throat of anyone playing something that hasn't been dry humped into the category of "Cool Game" or "Hardcore Game".
So yeah, go Yahtzee....he sickens all of those who sicken me.
I thought these dudes were always around? They never got more or less annoying...ok, maybe more. But yeah, I find people who can't take 'insults' on the things they like to be simply pathetic. Nothing's perfect in the world, and everything has flaws. Only stupid and nearsighted people can't see flaws in the things they like. Sure, Yahtzee bashed a couple of my fav games somewhere, but I didn't throw a bloody tantrum and went to spam some internet forum. I laughed, because what he was saying was true.cuddly_tomato said:Agreed.DannyDamage said:Look, all I do is ***** about how shit the film, game and music industries are. Seriously, ALL I do. Incidentally, am I the only one getting sick of butt-hurt fanboys showing up making Yahtzee threads because he has taken a huge dump on their beloved game? There is far more to The Escapist than Yahtzee you know op.
