Yahtzee loves Valve games at least from what he's said in his reviews, and for good reason. Valve is a bunch of creative geniuses. And I'm sure some of the things you mentioned will be criticised. Just take his HL2: EP2 review for example. He bashed it for being repetitive and re-using the same set pieces. But he still loved it. I think the Portal 2 review will be very similar.

It's not the question of "Will Yahtzee Bash Portal 2" its how much and how harshly he will bash the game. Yahtzee bashes all games for one reason or another, but some titles like Batman Arkham Asylum has recieved a good grade under Yahtzee's godly stamp of approval.
Yahtzee seems cold-hearted but thats his JOB. I prefer Yahtzee's techniques on how to rate a game. Better than some people who hand out positive reviews for every title like they recieves more cash in thier paychecks for 10/10 rating games.

I think you want him to hate the game because you know its going to be good but you want to find something wrong with it so you get yahtzee to do that. and the cake joke will not be funny at all it is so old right now that it will be anti-funny. thats right anti-funny it will suck humor away from the game.Ph33onix said:Yatzee will soo bash Portal 2, there is no way in hell that he will not find tons of stuff to pick on.
Here's a list of things i think will definately be mentioned:
-Due to incresed lenght and complexity he will b*tch about it getting too difficult, boring or repetitive.
-The humor will not compare to that of the first one, unless they bring back the cake meme (ok, ok this part has nothing to do with yatzee, i just thought it was fun so I added this line, of course the cake would be one of the first things he'd pick on ).
-The fact that the same caracter is used despite the fact that more than a hundred years have passed.
-Random other not-really-important game aspects like how some wall tile is a little more color saturated than another or how Chell's leg bracers make her look like a victim from the movie SAW.
Oh and he will probably be dissapointed about the still nonincandescent-titless portal gun
However these are just my thoughs on the matter, what do you think ?

but that line is SO true... still, I hope Bulletstorm features a gun that shoots shurikens and lightning...
I thought portal was incredibly over-rated, a simple original puzzle game that was a lot of fun for a couple of hours yes, best game ever made no. The sequel will be much much better and deserve a lot more praise, but with a huge increase in complexity comes all the complaints and imperfections so it might be rated lower.

BTW I have seen all the ZP episodes TWICE so i do know what I'm talking about I'm just too lazy too answear everybody and edit my post a gazilion times for every new problem someone finds with it...
