I was at a Social Distortion concert, and i was jumping around on the stands, and i fell off. In the split second i was off i turned around to find this tall drunk had taken my spot. I told him i was standing there, he said sorry and that was it.

I was at a blood for blood show and some guy pulled a knife on some other guy, the entire crowd then ganged up on the knife wielding guy and beat him unconscious, dragged him outside, and threw him in a dumpster. No lie. I fucking love Boston!

I go to a lot of shows alone, because none of my friends are into the bands I like. It's problematic, because one girl at a metal gig is probably not such a good idea. Depends on the crowd. I've endured minimal groping but I usually move away if I can and once stood for twenty minutes with some guy grinding against me - I didn't notice what he was doing at first, because I thought it was just tightly packed. And I've been knocked around a whole lot because I'm kind of small. Most people will help you up immediately, and I've met a few nice people who've asked some variation of 'is this guy bothering you?' and then kept an eye on me for the rest of the show to make sure I'm okay.

I just sort of got over it after a while and learnt to expect it. After all, I'm not going to stand with my back against the wall and my arms crossed for the entire show, just to avoid physical contact. Fortunately most of the smaller acts and the local shows don't have too many people.

Near the end of the concert, this guy grabbed my hand dragged it across his crotch. Yeah. I'm not sure if he knew it was me, but it was uncomfortable.
Well that's.......different. Sorry to hear about that. I understand that there will probably be unwanted contact due to the close proximity, but I've never heard of something like that.

Concerts are sexual harassment suit waiting to happen unique experiences, my first time I was packed incredibly tight with a bunch of people. My friend joked, "Dude I think I just lost my virginity. Both of them."

At an Iron Maiden concert a while back, there was this douche who were trying to start a mosh, or just pick a fight, by repeatedly pushing me, I answered in turn by giving him the best of my elbow in his cheekbone. He stopped.

There was this drunk girl at my first concert who tried to persuade me to dance with her. I mean, she was hot and all but...idk, I can't stand drunk people for some reason. (Also I can't dance to save my life).

In case you're wondering, the concert was Taste of Chaos 2008.

During a MUSE concert this stoned idiot kept falling over on me. So me and a mate crowd surfed the idiot out of the mosh.

...I bet you would.

I bet there's a really good game of MW2 online right now, why don't you go play?

OT: The Big Pink were supporting Muse last year, and they had access to all of Muse's infamous laser show technology

What do they do?

Blast a FRIKKIN' LIGHTHOUSE of a strobe light at the crowd really fast for the entire song for no reason. It made my eyes hurt, and when I looked away I could see thousands of other people either looking away, covering their eyes or looking queasy

What an awful band
Which show were you at? I was at the Birmingham NIA one, and I hated that fucking strobe light so much. I'm 6'3 and luckily the only other guy who was taller than me in the crowd was stood in front of me so I cowered behind him shielding my eyes.

I saw Muse again recently (last friday) in Paris and they had The Big Pink supporting them again, and I was thinking "Jesus Christ, I should have brought sunglasses or something", but luckily I think they got the message because they didn't do it this time.

Also, The Big Pink just came out, played, and left. They showed no awareness of the crowd whatsoever at either gigs. Annoyed me to no end, they don't deserve to go to such large arenas if they are going to be like that.

Hmmm, Nothing quite like that. I broke my glasses in a mosh pit once, that was more my own stupidity then anything else though and I've had my fair share of drunk assholes behind me. My favorite was the band called for the fist pump in the air and the guy did it with the hand he was holding the beer with, in one of those red cups. Ummm... Once at an MC Frontalot/MC Lars concert there was this drunk girl that rubbed her boobs on me, then fell over, then told me how "awesome" I was for helping her back up, but that didn't bother me much, it was just kind of funny.

I'm amazed that so many of you people actually CARE that this young woman was molested at a concert!

Then again, the OP claims to be a female... Hmmm...

Did you not say anything because you didn't know how to, or because you didn't want to (for whatever your reason be)?
When I worked with a security firm at a couple of venues, it was part and parcel to try talk to others. I did this whilst I was 16-18, I'm rather thin and don't have my badge (meaning I couldn't lay a finger on them without running the risk of losing my job and possibly involving the police). Even still I had to talk to people, people who generally see you as a figure of authority and despise you more for it, and get them to move on or deal with a problem, keeping in mind that this could be ANY sort of concert & crowd. You made it worse by just letting those involved continue, even if you show you dislike it they won't give a toss, they'll continue just to make you feel uncomfortable.

If someone is pissing you off, or making you feel uncomfortable, then either make it known you're not standing for it and assert yourself, or move. If you feel you don't want to move because of them then just get someone from security, what they did IS sexual assault, security will HAVE to deal with it if you tell them that you want something or you file a complaint and involve other authorities. You don't have to, but the option is always open.

Speaking of which, why didn't you just move?

I once had naughty thoughts about this person I really didn't like at all. Twice.

I felt really guilty afterward, but I got over it quick.

I mean, it wasn't at a concert, but, so what.

I did? Weird.

Not only did I never say molested I did not say I was a girl. I'm a guy so it would be a bit odd. Did you even read the OP?

Not too mention most people aren't here to care, they're hear to share similar stories as is the nature of this thread. I never asked anyone to cuddle me and tell me its all OK, I know how things work. I was simply curious as to how many people experienced similar things.

I didn't really know how to say it. I don't know assertive well. Plus it was difficult to even move nevermind turn around and try to look bold. And they were drunk so I doubt they would have listened. And they were a group and I was alone.

It was quite hard to move at all so it would have been pretty impossible to try and get away, and the only place I could have got to, without stealing another's place, would be the back and I didn't want to move to the back after standing near the front waiting for about 5 hours.

You are a lucky soul to walk away from that.

OT: I haven't had an experience like yours but once I got smacked in the back of the head extremely hard. It wasn't even near the mosh pit and I didn't expect it. Had a splitting migraine for the rest of the concert.

Went to a Bon Jovi concert with GF. Was so loud we had to text to communicate, and we were right next to each other.

How fitting that I saw your avatar as soon as this song came on.

Coincidence? I think not.
