I was at a Social Distortion concert, and i was jumping around on the stands, and i fell off. In the split second i was off i turned around to find this tall drunk had taken my spot. I told him i was standing there, he said sorry and that was it.
Well that's.......different. Sorry to hear about that. I understand that there will probably be unwanted contact due to the close proximity, but I've never heard of something like that.Disaster Button said:Near the end of the concert, this guy grabbed my hand dragged it across his crotch. Yeah. I'm not sure if he knew it was me, but it was uncomfortable.
Which show were you at? I was at the Birmingham NIA one, and I hated that fucking strobe light so much. I'm 6'3 and luckily the only other guy who was taller than me in the crowd was stood in front of me so I cowered behind him shielding my eyes.GrinningManiac said:...I bet you would.bubba145 said:never happened to me but i would have pulled out a magnum and told him to back off.
I bet there's a really good game of MW2 online right now, why don't you go play?
OT: The Big Pink were supporting Muse last year, and they had access to all of Muse's infamous laser show technology
What do they do?
Blast a FRIKKIN' LIGHTHOUSE of a strobe light at the crowd really fast for the entire song for no reason. It made my eyes hurt, and when I looked away I could see thousands of other people either looking away, covering their eyes or looking queasy
What an awful band
I did? Weird.Tootmania said:I'm amazed that so many of you people actually CARE that this young woman was molested at a concert!
Then again, the OP claims to be a female... Hmmm...
I didn't really know how to say it. I don't know assertive well. Plus it was difficult to even move nevermind turn around and try to look bold. And they were drunk so I doubt they would have listened. And they were a group and I was alone. The Red Spy said:Did you not say anything because you didn't know how to, or because you didn't want to (for whatever your reason be)?
When I worked with a security firm at a couple of venues, it was part and parcel to try talk to others. I did this whilst I was 16-18, I'm rather thin and don't have my badge (meaning I couldn't lay a finger on them without running the risk of losing my job and possibly involving the police). Even still I had to talk to people, people who generally see you as a figure of authority and despise you more for it, and get them to move on or deal with a problem, keeping in mind that this could be ANY sort of concert & crowd. You made it worse by just letting those involved continue, even if you show you dislike it they won't give a toss, they'll continue just to make you feel uncomfortable.
If someone is pissing you off, or making you feel uncomfortable, then either make it known you're not standing for it and assert yourself, or move. If you feel you don't want to move because of them then just get someone from security, what they did IS sexual assault, security will HAVE to deal with it if you tell them that you want something or you file a complaint and involve other authorities. You don't have to, but the option is always open.
Speaking of which, why didn't you just move?

How fitting that I saw your avatar as soon as this song came on.Redlin5 said:You are a lucky soul to walk away from that.rokkolpo said:i got in a mosh pit....and i fell.

OT: I haven't had an experience like yours but once I got smacked in the back of the head extremely hard. It wasn't even near the mosh pit and I didn't expect it. Had a splitting migraine for the rest of the concert.
