The fact that the term 'hard scope' is used at all when discussing sniping is a pretty sorry state of affairs
Naheal said:We take completely separate approaches. I prefer finding a perch/ambush spot with a silenced hard-scoped sniper rifle. I tend to consider folks who run around with their rifle just to quick scope down targets to be missing the point behind sniping, but both are legitimate tactics.ColdStorage said:I'm a quick scoper and no scoper, and no its not "faggy", would you mind not being so hateful in future.cold killer pov said:its faggy, you going to use a sniper.. use it properlly, dont run around lucking every kill, thats why the world has a problem with you. You are just as bad as noob tubers.
its funny because I consider snipers that sit in one spot to be not using the guns ability to its fullest.
"Combat sniper" vs "ambush sniper". Both valid techniques, but I prefer a burst-fire weapon for the former.
Actually I don't play the game, just because of this amount of game-breaking faults (and practically no hardcore mode). If I could go back to the day I bought it and stop myself, I would. The Rockerfly said:A tactic is a tactic, use it or have it used against you. That's my opinion on all of these games, if it's so game "breakingly" bad then why are you playing that game?
i got a no scope head shot once, and pick pepole off quickly with sniper, i do not believe there is a delay in tf2.TestECull said:Not only that but Valve put in an intentional delay in the Sniper's rifle where you can't quickscope. It won't register a headshot for, I think, 40ms or so after you scope in.
No one good goes for no-scopes for anything other than last-ditch-effort type of things before they die to an SMG or Commandotard. Quick scopes are easily the hardest thing to pull off in a game that is otherwise ridiculously simple and noob-friendly. Yes, there is a little luck involved, but to say that quick-scopers are "scrubs" when you use SMGs (and I'm assuming the UMP45 because that's what everyone uses) is pretty ass-backwards. The UMP is a sniper rifle that fires full auto and can be sprayed. If anything, it's the UMP users who are the "scrubs", although I wouldn't go that far. At least you aren't using Shotguns, Commando, or Noob Tubes.cold killer pov said:The main probly with no scopers is that its scrubby, you get people like me for one who use smg's i would say most of the time with assualt rifles, of course i use snipers as well. But there is nothing than when you are using a sniper, scoped in hit someone and it clips them, then your running around with an smg and some scrub lucks a shot that drops you in one, usually after you have put a good 5 or so bullets in them (didnt want to over exaggerate and get brought up on that as well)
This made me chuckle a little inside. I love seeing players with the titles and badges for the UMP45, Intervention and ACR. I feel like "yes, we know you've used those alot, so does everyone else"MetallicaRulez0 said:(and I'm assuming the UMP45 because that's what everyone uses)
