When I was pretty big into FFXI on the 360, I was a fairly capable fighter.......and a high level fisherman!
I made most of my millions catching fish that most others couldn't. Massive earnings at auction from the cooks that needed the rarer ingredients. Gave it all away to my fishing clan when I left.
Everything that can turn a profit. There are indeed games that this is all you do like uncharted waters online and mind you when i say that's all you do (so if you choose) you actually level up by trading.
since this is an RPG and i don't have to sell anything to survive i will just specialize in food and drinks. In everything but NV Hardcore people will just leave me alone and i can do whatever i want
I'd be a weapons trader in a modern or cyberpunk RPG specialised in selling stuff like battle-axes, katanas and the like. In every ops group there's always THAT GUY who goes for melee weapons just to different while completely ignoring how ineffectual he is with them.
The kicker? All the weapons are props I bought used off different movie sets. So when they actually try using them they'd pretty much die instantly.
And thus I'm ridding the world of annoying douchebag party members, one "authentic kuwugara sword, even has a dragon on the blade, see?!" at a time.
Best stuff in the game but make them horribly overpriced. You want a great sword? That'll be 9,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 gold, your first born child, your house, and I get the sword back in 24 hours.
I would sell "that thing". The thing that is useless throughout 90% of the game and costs an extremely large sum of money. Then it becomes necessary for only one part of the game and is never used again.
